Hello, this is the fashion chat thread, everyone's welcome!! Feel free to post what your wearing (or not:p). You can also post any fashion queries that don't warrant a thread of their own. Please remember that there is no such thing as a silly question, and please be nice. The first person to post each day, can you please put the date on top of your post to keep it easy to read:D

Sharron

remember this thread is on one of the moneysaving boards so can we keep it on topic please :)

the Arms is always open for any other chat

Joining the new thread, spent today in desert combat trousers, black hooded sweatshirt with a Buddhist Goho motif (five elements in a star).

    Hi
this thread has got very long so I've started a new one HERE :)

    Morning Glad.

I noticed that the fashion thread was mentioned on the menopause thread as being a chatty thread and not money saving focused - is this the real reason for the new thread?

I also noticed that the previous fashion threads were much longer than the last one.

We are moneysaving! We're always swapping sales links, encouraging people to shop secondhand, helping rework outfits so people don't go out and buy loads of new stuff... No different to threads like, for example, the diet support thread.

I know there are a lot of moneysaving tips on the fashion thread :) I just thought a new thread and slightly different title would make that more obvious :)

Oh cool :) I didn't even notice the title change, haha!

Do you want us to start a new one every X amount of pages/posts to stop it getting too clunky?

Glad, while you're here may I ask will all the "Support" / Chat" threads on the Fashion Health and Beauty Board (thinking of all the slimming/pregnancy-type threads and similar) be getting a similar, closure/get on track reminder today as the Menopause and Fashion threads?

Loving the new thread and the "moneysaving" inclusion in the title.

What a beautiful crips, Autumnal morning.

    Today's outfit:
1960's Sybil Claymar midnight blue blouse (Jumble sale)
High waisted acid wash skinny jeans (Sample sale)
1960's Finnish leather knee boots (BHF)
    Hair in a massive bun
    Silver bangles and rings (India)
    Welsh Tapestry pea coat (Banardos)
Vintage leather waist belt (Age Concern)

    Total cost of outfit: £13.50

Just back from a car boot sale and about the apply the finishing touches to my new hat cabinet as I've just purchased 6 rather marvellous 1950's felt hats worthy of display.

    Have a lovely afternoon.

6 hats Vix?? I sense a hat challenge coming on...

Wish the car boot sales ran a bit longer round here :(
