Whoop! Just won the Minnietonka boots I have wanted for ages on ebay! Had to share, I'm chuffed to bits

Congrats! I bought a pair of the ankle ones on holiday in the US last year and they're really comfy (have had loads of nice comments from people about them too).

Dressed up today as thought I might have to see a client, but didn't in the end. Jeans and jumper tomorrow to compensate!

    xx

Hope things go ok today Douglas.

ALJA, you could always have a trying on session somewhere to determine what style suits you best and then use that to help you find the right thing on eBay. Lots of the supermarkets have decent selections in stock if you can't get to the high street. Actually, the supermarkets sometimes have really good offers on - I seem to remember Asda doing a plain black fitted coat for about £15 last year.

I actually got my last coat from there...it was black..and was £15! what a coincidence!...asda is a bit far from where i live but if i end up that way i will have a look :) good idea about trying things on!...why didn't i think of that? hehe! thank you!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Good morning, its cold but its beautiful :)

rushed through my morning chores, and I'm dressed and shortly getting made up. Jeans, longsleeved black t, and shortsleeved cardigan. I can't find my brown boots, which is what would be perfect, so instead I'll wear trainers to the vets this morning and wellies to my meeting with an agri-consultant this afternoon.

    Right...make up next!

Good morning, cold 'un here, though I'm currently in short sleeves as the heating is on.

    Wearing:
    Vintage floral dress: via Alex
    Teal tights: Ethel Austin
    Brown sandals: New Look

and have a brown thick cardi lined up for as soon as the heating goes off!
  • Goan, that's a real compliment thanks! They are american suede moccasin boots, meet all my criteria for comfort and lashings of americana :) Mine have fringing and studs on them *swoons*

Sarah, really glad they are comfy, I hope they turn up soon.

Me today - heading in to the office:
    Beige v necked jumper (H&M)
Olive Green suedette pencil skirt (£1 hospice shop on my road plus £15 for a new zip. Doh. I still love it though so it was worth it. I will have to learn to replace them myself though)
    Black Tuxedoey style jacket (Mango)
    Black tights
    Tan mary janes (new look)
Teal coat over the top (ebay)
    bronze dangly earing (warehouse)
    hair in side bun
and I think I'll go for contact lenses today

Hope you all have good days

    Photogenic
Ice on the car this morning :(
    Black driving mocasins
Black jean cut trousers (like jeans but in black twill instead of denim)
    Blue button down collar shirt.
1960s Red Gold and Ecru unlined knit silk skinny tie (square ended) long term loan from my dad. (Who has a huge collection of ties, cravats and scarves - mostly in bright colours as he was a huge jazz fan in the 50s and 60s)
Air force blue 1960s zip up cardigan - from a flea market in Glasgow (in one of the arches at the Brigait) it still had the tissue paper folded up in it and I payed £2 for it.
Navy reefer, black fedora with dark brown leather band.
Green black and white ska check socks.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • It's a b-e-a-utiful autumn morning here - picture perfect.

I'm not properly dressed so don't have an outfit to share but I do have £40 to spend courtesy of Onepoll - I've finally reached my target! :T

I really should post an outfit on my blog of all the things I've been buying recently - maybe it'll entice more followers if they can see my ugly mug, or maybe not ;)

    Have a fab day all.

Morning all! Glorious here today but distinctly chilly and I forgot gloves AGAIN.

Outfit is very mismatched but I think I like it:

Green vest top with lace around neckline - Zara via Queenie
    Purple cardi - Primark
Vintage skirt with purple, brown and green leaf print - vintage fair
Violet tights (DP) with chocolate brown fishnets (Evans) over the top
Green suede pumps - New Look
Green velvet winter coat - Monsoon
Plus some green and wooden jewellery.
