The new thread title threw me, but TBH I'm glad to have the MSE element reinforced. Style endures...and those are MSE purchases.
Meanwhile...style bypassed me today. I'm wearing a longsleeved pink t under the grey vest- maxi. Its not a look a like and will not be doing in again...a t shirt over the top I can do...
I did go out in this style travesty, but wore a huge grey cardi over the top, so the pink just livened it all up a little. I'm starting to think about a three or four day trip we've got coming up (buisness mainly, but a little socialising in the evenings and weekends). I WILL get this all into hand luggage.
I need a new bra, my last really nice one has lost its wire, I was hoping not to get any more till could buy a size down, but needs must. I hate bra shopping. Nothing with an f cup looks lovely on a hanger, even if it looks better on.0 -
Must go and do some shopping and there's no reason why Tesco shouldn't benefit from a little bit of an effort on my part, so I'm about to change into:
blue rose print skirt (M&S sale £7)
purple fine knit jumper
purple tights
70s tan Miss Curtess heels (£5 ebay)
Vintage 60s fake Persian lamb coat - very Jackie O (£20 vintage fair)
I'm actually still in fleecy cropped Gaucho-style pants, long tshirt and cardy. It's not quite cold enough for heating yet, but cool enough for warmer layers - see where I'm going with the money saving there!!
I'm with you there on big bras LiR, there's nothing more depressing than picking up something that could just as equally fit your head. They can throw all the lace at it they want, it's still like scaffolding!0 -
Lost have you tried Debenhams recently. Their Gorgeous range is, well, gorgeous. I picked up a couple in their blue cross sale for about £6 each.0

Lost, I know what you mean. Everyday boulder-holders are not the most aesthetically pleasing of things eve if they do the job!
This is the only bra I have ever bought that looks lovely on the hanger and is amazing on. (34G) It's delicate appearance belies it's unbelievably good scaffolding ability, gives me a great shape and uplift. keeps them neat at the sides, balconette style gives amazing uplift without pushing them together iykwim!
This is a good price from Figleaves I usually get it from Bravissimo at full price.

Thanks for the bra suggestions. They all look good. I haven't ever thought of debenhams for bras, but there are really pretty ones, so I might try that and bronnies suggestion too. In fact I saw lots I liked this afternoon surfing, but really don't want to spend too much, one on, one in the wash, and then some of my less great ones for tough outdoors grunt work.
I have to buy someone a birthday gift this week. Nail varnish it has to be, and I thought a luxe classic like Chanel (she's not very beauty orientated so wouldn't be thrilled with newer beauty junkie brands I think, but always has painted toenails). Am I right in thinking you can't go wrong with a classic like Rouge Noir?0 -
Evening,
Today's outfit was a black dress and gold brogues.
Off to read back and catch up...

Some of the girls are amazing bargain finders. If you tell them colour or style they'll have seen an MSE purchase somewhere!
Meanwhile, truley working the MSE grey dress thing the other one is on today, while the first has a wash.ATM I also have on a grey tracksuit top and some big wellie socks but it will be swapped for a black long sleeved t soon, then a smarter cardi thrown on when I go out and some black flats. One of the things I love about this dress is at my five foot five and a half its just long enough to slip my toes under when I put my feet up:o

I get all my coats from EBay, you can get some absolute bargains if you look around.
Me today:
Howies 'Rachel' Shirt - pink, white and brown checks (a present from the aussie)
vintage 80s A-line pale wash denim skirt (a charity shop in Braintree about 5years ago)
My baja california pendant necklace (Etsy)
Hair is down and scrunched with seasalt spray
will probably team with
my new (to me) zip-up tan DM boots (ebay)
cream over knee socks (river island)
vintage cream afghan coat (ebay):beer:0
