I did have that issue with my Lloyds loan, even though I can see it as part of my internet banking, I couldn't just pay it like my credit card.

I alternated between taking £1 coins in to the counter and making them pay it off, just to annoy them and doing standing orders online for bigger amounts.

I had to get the sort code, account no and loan reference number, set up a standing order for the amount to go the next day and then cancel it once it had, and set up a new one when I had more to pay.

Was a hassle but I wasn't letting them stop me! :D

Oh god Bec that sounds like a bit of a pain! They don't make it easy - better than paying more in interest though!

I think they'll do anything to make it harder to pay back as that suits them, unfortunately for them I was way more stubborn!

I've done the soup thing, and have been on salads the last few weeks. I'm the same - needs to be quick and easy when I get in from work late. Even if you buy the bags of pre-prepared lettuce and stuff if you do salads you'll still be saving money compared to buying lunch every day x

I love the idea of you going in with £1 and making them pay it off your loan, do they visibly sigh everytime they see you lol?

I think they hate me in my local Lloyds! :D

Especially I think the manager does after I turned down PPI tried to say I should get it because he had it on his loan and I asked him why just because he'd done something stupid did it mean I should? His face was worth it!

This is why I have to visit them so often so that they don't miss me! :)

    brilliant comment to the manager!

your spreadsheet sounds really interesting, i'm sad and love spreadsheets!

good luck when you go and pay money off your loan, once again i wish i could be there to see their faces. I bet their hearts will sink when they realise that you are going to keep coming in and doing the same thing.
