Happy days LT! I can't wait to pay in the pennies, will start next week as I have work tonight and as I'm going to Thomasland with mum and my DS Sat (but travelling up tomorrow straight from work) I won't have time to bag them until then.
Wonder what they will say if I state I want to pay the pennies directly off the loan...... time will tell. Does anyone else think it's silly I can't overpay online? I can see the loan account online - maybe it's vicious lies, will check it out myself.
Well, today is my only job 2 shift this week - I have the weekend off to go away (money for spends budgeted and in cash). Sunday I will be CLEANING! My house looks like several bombs have gone off, all of which containing crumbs gathered by a certain 3 year old....
I watched superscrimpers last night, was more of a general tips episode, some of it was great and really useful, some not so much. Think I will try the window cleaner rather than screenwash trick as it will save a lot of money in the longrun - my car goes through screenwash at a higher rate than petrol!
No payments to report for today - will have to have a think about how to get into some good habits in order to chuck more money at stuff - I have a lot of good intentions but none seem to last, smoking for one, taking my own lunch to work for two.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. natwest told me they dont have a limit so i can pay as many as i want in. they told me one of the local branches has a machine you can just tip it into and it counts and sorts and puts in your account. i wouldnt like that as i enjoy tipping them all out and putting in little bags (again...i am sad!). not opened mine since nov so hoping to last til this nov. i am only saving for xmas so dont really need to open before then!
I like this, I am also sad when it comes to this sort of thingLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Morning Kat
I remember someone else on here having an issue with overpaying their loan on line (think perhaps it was Bec's).LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Mr T paid for my lunch today as had a £3 voucher - no point using it for weekly shop as Asda still cheaper nowadays. I have tried and failed to bring in my own lunch so many times - for those of you who do it, what do you take to keep it interesting and easy enough I can make it after job 2 at midnight for the next day?Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. I think I need to have a good sit down and work out costs etc - if I can show "profit projection" and show how this will clear a debt x months quicker, it will give me the motivation to do it.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. i batch cook homemade soup at the weekends and freeze in portions. i just take one in with bread and heat in microwave (used to heat before work and put in flask when we didnt have microwave). i do three types so it doesnt get boring. i know its getting hot but soup is my favourite lunch so eat all year round!
one thing i did before i took soup was to buy one or two dried pasta/cous cous things in pots (like pot noodles but look better!) and put them in my drawer. then on days where i couldnt be bothered/ran out of stuff i had a cheap meal there so i didnt end up £4 down in canteen. good thing with frozen soup portions is you dont even need to remember to take it out freezer night before as it can defrost in the morning:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
That's a great idea clippy girl!
I just did something I think is awesome and I think you guys will be the only ones who agree.
I made a table in excel using a IPMT formula, basically I wanted to be able to record loan payments, how much I pay in interest and when I start ovepaying what difference it will make.
This calculates the value which is paid to interest each month with your repayment. All I need to do now is update the payment value when I overpay and all the totals will change, including the term. I am so excited to start using it!Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off.
