Well, done for this coming year - I have cancelled it. Will just have to "face the music" as it were for child tax credits and pay them anything I owe.
PS you would have all been :rotfl: just had a caterpillar on my back, this was pointed out to me by my friend so I'm leaping around the office squeeling "get it off get it off" as she flicks it from my back to my leg and I had to flick it from my leg to the floor. Rubbish news with regards the P60, Kat
Laughing at the caterpillar though!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Debt been added to
No tax credits this month - why?
Swalec are a$$ h00l3s
They have upped our direct debit payment from £65 for gas to £150 and £45 ele to £85 due to the "money we owe" which they have already taken without informing us.
However, read on:
Bill raised 05/10/10 incorrect. This was rectified in Jan 11 and we paid Npower the £200 from the incorrect reading from SWALEC.
New end units for corrected bill 10139
Start units for next period 06/01/11 8990 which was the end reading for the wrong original bill Jun 10 to Oct 10. This means it was out by 1149 units for which we have been charged.
Correction was not done for our other bills following complaint which saw the Jun 10 to Oct 10 bill amended - the start reading for the Oct 10 bill was lower than the start reading for when we actually started with swalec!!!!!!
Swalec have therefore overcharged us by £396.64.
Furthermore, the end reading on our April bill for up to 04/04/11 is 11984, reading today (24/05/11), 11501 which is LOWER than the meter reading we were billed for start of April by 483 units (bear in mind nearly 2 months have passed). We have been overcharged YET AGAIN :mad::mad::mad::mad:
I will be complaining tomorrow and will be DEMANDING compensation or I will report them to Offgem.
This is why the debt has been added to. The extra money they took plus lack of tax credits was in the sum of £177 - bear in mind our O/D has not gone up by that much, we have actually paid some of that debt back.

Sorted – They totally admitted they were wrong. Gas back down to £65, electricity has to be £65 due to arrears as electricity usage doesn’t change that much in Summer whereas Gas does.

Thanks Woo - so demoralising that the debt has gone up. Will have to work extra hard now. Still need to save £200 for holiday (DH had that much in overtime to be paid Thu so taking that straight out and putting into BS) but still not sure how many overpayments we will manage to make now, will need to claw some of that money back - sure we will find a way, always do
