Morning Kat
Very well done for getting rid of Kays!
Yay to the bonus, it will be such a relief to finally see the back of that reserve xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hi Kat, it's been a while but I am trying to get back on the DFW wagon. Great to hear about the bonus but poo about the tax credits. We don't qualify and have to say i'm sort of glad. They almost seem to make it worse don't they, letting you build up arrears without any knowledge of it and then demanding it back and leaving you short. It's happened to so many people I know.
As for the gas / elec I am too frightened to change suppliers as it always goes t**ts up and doesn't transfer properly. Then I have bills all over the place (plus I have quite a big underpayment with Npower and they're not mentioning it currently so I am keeping quiet!)Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

Great news on the bonus Kat and well done on paying off Kays :T

Thanks everyone
We are literally on the minimum payment for tax credits now so unless we get 6k payrises (not likely unless DH gets another job) we shouldn't owe them anymore.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. Yea I agree once I have the bonus (still won't believe it til I see it) and the reserve is gone I think it will be a much smoother ride. We still don't know if we are having payrises this year, if we do it won't be much but that will be extra debt money.
I'm not getting a payrise this year or next, we know that for sureOH gets a payrise but i think it's less than 10p per hour which isn't much when you only get paid minimum wage

That's rubbish! We had a payfreeze in 2009 and last year I got £200 and something a year, worked out at about £14 a month! My pay in 5 years has gone up by £2k per year, which puts me on less money than when I started when you take into account inflation. I know I'm lucky to have a job though so can't moan too much, there are plenty of people who have it worse than I do.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. I have been with my company for 7 years now, started on £16k and with any luck in July I should finally hit the £20k mark! I didn't used to mind as I got at least £3k in bonuses a year, after the recession this stopped, they have now started up again but I only get about £1k now.
I know I shouldn't moan, but I should be on about £3k more for the job I do and the bonuses used to make up for this.
Still I like my work and all my friends here, so it's all goodLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
