i have just received my letter this morning from hm revenue and customs .It says they have agreed with the union that it would cost me £60 a year to wash my clothes, the calculation says it is £64.03x100/20=320.The £320 is probably back payment over the past 6 years. My tax code has risen from 426L to 572L.Thanks for the tips everyone, its better in my pocket than theirs.:beer:0

Proevofanatik, first check whether nursery workers are included in the list of jobs which have a fixed rate deduction.
If not, then she can claim for replacement uniforms, not initial purchase.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -
Just found this and I will give it a try. Quick question. I am in the police and they provided us with 4 laundry vouchers when I joined, but nothing since. Would I still be able to claim?0
