I buy identical socks and eventually end up with pairs

I may mention to the nursery staff at work later and see if they want them for the littlies to make puppets with

One of my friends buys each of her kids socks in one colour so odd socks arent a problem, one has black, one grey and one white;)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Past experience suggests that whatever you do will be wrong, the other sock will only turn up after you have slung these out. Sorry, thats just the way its supposed to be I guess!....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0

Sell them individually on Ebay as a 'Sacrificial Sock' that you offer to the washing machine to make sure all your other ones come out in pairs!0

I buy the next socks with coloured heels and toes - the colours may differ but the sock feels the same when it's on....it's only if I have to go somewhere they ask you to take your shoes off
I love the ideas on here though, personally I'd flylady them - only 4 more items to find :rotfl:0 -
If you are making a draftexcluder you can use the socks as stuffing0
-
If you do decide to get shot of them make sure they go in a fabric recycling bin so at least they can be made into cloths and the other things they do with them

Ha - you got there before me greenpixey
I stuff the odd socks into old laddered tights and then cover the whole thing in some leftover fabric. Toasty!
Warning: Young dogs may think that you have made them a lovely new tug'o'war toy. Make sure you tell them forcefully that this is not the case or your house will look like hosiery armagedon. I speak from experience:eek:
