Evening folks. I've been over to my DD and her partner's and had yum salmon....and wine AND chocolate cake...which is always welcome:D. It was lovely to spend the evening with them. I took the dogs over too so they sprawled out and slept while we chatted away. They walked me home and we've had cocoa.
I've made a list today of the things that are helpful to me right now. The reason I've done this is because i keep forgetting! Everyone has different things that help and mine must seem so basic but here it is:
    1.drink water
    2. evening prim oil
    3. Agnus Castus
    4. oily fish
    5. cod liver oil capsules
    6. Brewers Yeast
    7. Olive oil for face
    8. Body oil on body (that Neals Yard jasmine stuff)
    9. Yoga (on wii!!)
    10. Relaxtion CDs
    11. Candle
    12. Lavender on pillow at night
    13. Kind thoughts to self if stressed (and well done kind thoughts if not stressed)
    14. Communication with DH!
    15. Almonds (now, I read to take 10 a day. I bought them. Have I taken them? No. Just remembered once)
    16. Dried apricots
    17. Lots of walks in nature
    18. Collecting stones, shells, leaves
    19. Appreciating my lovely family and friends - enjoying what makes each one individual
    20. Exercise (yes, just do it [this is an aside to me because I can't be bothered])
    21. Meditation (mostly concentrating on the breath)

Goodness, that's a lot. It's longer than the list I had written down because I kept thinking of things I do.
Remember that this is just me thinking 'aloud' here and in no way suggestions of things for peeps to try.
    Good sleeps to all tonight

ETA - added 20 + 21 as forgot about them

    Evening ladies

Thank you all for your lovely wishes yesterday. Had a really nice time as planned.....really enjoyed my day!

Feeling a bit more on an even keel now than last weekend, thankfully.

Murky foggy damp night here. My little cat stuck his nose out of the door when I got home from work tonight, then quickly turned and legged it back inside again. Don't blame him!

Hope you all have a good night's sleep!

ETA wmf that great long post appeared while I was writing!! Will go back and read now!

    Morning Peeples,

wmf - looove your list :T. You treat yourself so kindly, that's so nice.

I amalgamated my 4 lists at 2.30am today. Another restless night, so I got up & got practical. No matter. I've got up to a lovely tidy space with just one list. :D

It's official. Eyebrows are getting coarse and wavy with the odd 'grey'. Find they need trimming. One doesn't want to look related to Dennis Healey (hope I've got the right bloke).

Got my biggest Avon order ever arriving next friday. Will do as much prep as possible as the sheer physical work involved is a bit daunting to a skinny like me.

dogcat - a session on the allotment sounds so theraputic :). All worms, mud, wellies and flask of something hot. Hope you make it this w/e.

Bronnie & all others, have a good day XXX

ps. Shykins, hope all is well, have a good w/e.

    Hi all,

wmf loved your list. I concur with most of them but havea few to add that seem to work for me!

Daylight/Sunshine..........getting as much of each as possible, especially at this time of year.

Seeds ( I buy individual types and mix them in a lidded tub. Snack on a small handful)

Dark chocolate. Now this is totally different to the choc used for greedy guzzling. I buy a 90% dark choc from Sainsbury's. It's really quite bitter and therefore easy to restrict to one or two small squares a day, lasts for ages cos no-one else likes it and is supposed to have various health benefits that I can't quite remember just now!

Pamper myself. Hair, skin, feet, teeth, hard-working hands etc. I feel so much better if I keep on top of these. HM treatments are very MS and effective. Tip. Coconut oil, solid, but melts beautifully into skin and is softening and moisturising, great under cotton socks or gloves overnight and cheap.

Develop strategies to avoid being "drained" by other people.

Wearing lighter /bright colours, especially close to my face, feelgood factor!

Will probably edit and add later!!

    Have a good day all!

Bronnie - will actively seek out that dark chocolate!! Thanks for your list. I used to have a scarf with a little bit of dark pink in it and had lipstick to match (eeeeh, go me!!). Lost scarf. Left behind in a restaurant and went back but to no avail. This has reminded me to get another one as it brightens up my colour a bit.
Loving the how to deal with draining people bit. I make more of a conscious decision to avoid people who drain me. I used to exhaust myself in the past but I just don't have the energy to be drained now.
I'll have to write my list somewhere as these are the things I know are good for me but I certainly forget to do most of them regularly! It's always such an obvious duh! moment when i finally remember to do things like drink water.
Tinned salmon and salad for lunch today then I'll have to avoid it for a wee while as I don't think I should be eating as much salmon. I think I remember reading that you should have it once or twice a week.
I've also noticed it's quiet in here and hope peeps are ok.
Anyone want to join us? We are very friendly:j

This is the one I get. It's actually on offer at 2 for £2.50 until the end of November, instead of £1.79 each. You can make it last for ages though, it is bitter and therefore not at all moreish............unlike regular chocolate which I find practically impossible to keep in the cupboard!

    How's this for a job??

    Hi all:
Not been on here for awhile. Hope you are all felling well.

Bronnie: Happy Belated Birthday and yes i would love that job. Chocolate heaven.

DD birthday today shes 27yrs not living at home anymore but lives about 20mins walk away.

I am feeling much better. I get very down or very argumental one week a month just before i should have my period but not had them for over two years.

Joyfull: Yes i will join the eyebrow club but have to get the magnifying mirror to see what im doing. Is there any dye you can get to colour the eyebrows. I keep plucking the grey ones out so need to do something or i will end up with none.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

    .

I use this, share it with DD had the pack for ages.

It's around £7 but lasts for ages as you only need to mix the tiniest amount each time. You can get it in Boots and Superdrug, in brown, black and blue black I think. I just use it for my brows; they have really faded, rather than gone grey (unlike the hair!). Do a skin test first, but don't be worried about using it and ending up like Cruella de Ville! .

You just mix it, brush on and leave for a minute or 2, swipe off with damp cotton pad. The first application result is quite subtle, you just repeat applications to get the depth of colour you want. No way does it last 45 days on me as stated on the pack but it's quick and easy to do anyway (less than 5 mins)

Well blow me down with a feather...I've only got a blimmin' period today - first one since August:rotfl:. The rolling head represents my hysteria. Not really. Confusion maybe though! Ah well, this may sort out the PMT b00bs. Who knows
Have had a lazy day. Cold here tonight.
    Keep warm wherever you are

Hi wmf - that happened to me the other month.

I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong, that you are perimenopausal when your periods are acting off & on & you are menopausal when you haven't had a period for a year if you're over 50 & 2 years if you're under 50.
So I & you wmf are perimenopausal.

I also wonder if it would be a waste of time taking collogen supplements until I am menopausal as that is when I think that it lessens in your skin?

It's all rather confusing & I think that some writers say menopausal when really they should/mean perimenopausal........
Meant to say the lists are a good idea......

I haven't been doing too much outdoors. Today was really bitterly cold, but at least the gales have died down.

Hope everyone is cosy & comfy.
Hope your b00bs ease of a bit wmf - nothing worse that that.

All the best peris & menos.
