Good quality; but very expensive - an investment.
Lovely to wear and not as frumpy as most moisture wicking nightwear.
(So little choice in UK.)
I think it is mostly Wildbleu.
Good range of sizes from small to 2XL

Morning all, meant to post a while ago to say i bought the Chillow Pillow after seeing Dr Chris with on tv. I must admit when i wake at whatever ungodly hour roasting, i pop it inside my pillowcase and it does help - along with my fan i can cool down. Expensive but worth it.0

I'm in my early forties and not sure if I'm menopausal or not. I was suffering flooding for 8 days and really sore tender breasts for 10 days beforehand. Also my cup size increased by 3-4 sizes in around 18 months. Water retention tablets helped a bit, but in the end Dr recommended a mirena coil which I had fitted in Sept. Bleeding was a bit inconsistent for first 3 months, but is much lighter now and it has definitely saved me a lot in sanitary goods. During the first 3 months the tenderness beforehand was only there for 2-3 days and was much improved, however, the last few months it has come back as a heavier sore feeling than before and is lasting 2-3 weeks.
I'm aware that Mirena is sometimes prescribed instead of HRT and wondered if anyone has been prescribed for same reasons. I know it can take up to 9 months to fully work, but it's making my life a misery and I'm not sleeping because of the tenderness either. I've just started a healthy eating and exercise plan in the hope it will perhaps reduce the cup size and that may help.
Thanks for any advice
Hi , I was fitted with the Mirena when I was 43 due to really heavy periods that became irregular.
At first it was fantastic, periods stopped completely within 3 months.
Have had no periods , even spotting since.
This was the only reason I had it fitted as OH had a vasectomy after 2nd child.
I have had a Mirena for 8 years changed once after the first 5 years.
In the last 2 years I entered the menopause but in the 6 years that I had this in place prior to the menopause my weight increased by 2 stone ..I had brain fog , unexplained abdominal pains , back ache .. depression , no energy. my chest size increased by 2 sizes.
All I can say is that I never felt completely 'there'.
I had the Mirena removed 5 days ago as I am now 52 and think I may be past the menopause. Dr was happy to do this because of my age
The most amazing thing is that after 24hrs of removal I suddenly felt completely different..no bloating , in 3 days dropped 2 bra sizes and lost a load of podge around my middle , mind has cleared, skin is glowing, sleep like a log and I feel better and have more energy than I have felt in the last 6 years.
This is an honest answer, in the last six years I have never felt completely'normal'
Maybe I am lucky and the menopause is over but I still have to agree with the women who say they have had side effects from using the Mirena.0 -
Hello
I am new to this thread but not new to MSE.
A number of things have been happening to me lately. I am 42 and still experiencing periods. They have always been heavy but over the last few months have got steadily worse. I am also experiencing waking in the night, lack of concentration, some memory loss, erratic mood swings and frequent tearfulness. I do not really know what is happening but my MIL suggested that i may be experiencing menapause symptoms.
I do not know if i am but after reading through some of this thread this evening i can certainly understand a lot of the things that you ladies are experiencing.
I am going to carry on reading but i just wanted to say hello and to introduce myself.

Hi Michjay, sounds just like me lol, i'm no Dr but it sounds to me like the start of things.
Feel free to rant an rave here.0 -
Michjay, you could be describing me for the last 3 yrs! My poor OH, 10 days of the month I love him to bits, the remaining 18 days I can't stand the sight of him, but he puts up with me. In addition to flooding, moodiness, poor concentration and memory loss, headaches and drier skin I'm also getting hot flushes and seem to smell sweatier than I used to (if that makes sense). I hope this doesn't last too long.0

Kathy, so pleased you have said that about your hubby, i have been feeling like that about mine but didn't link it to the menopause.0

Hi Both
That is exactly how i have been feeling about my hubby. I feel so angry with him a lot of the time now for no reason at all.
i get even angrier when he can't understand what is happening to me which always seems to then end up in an argument over nothing and ending up with me running upstairs in tears
