Very understanding customer service rep, sorted out the problem with my old postcode with minimum fuss while T-mobile were inflexible and utterly in 'computer says no' mode!
Of course, have to watch the Tesco FUP as this can be a real teeth kicker! T-mobile was a sweet deal, ah well!
Just so everyone who reads this knows how hard the kick is?
The Tesco Deal is Plain English is:
£10 Sim Only - Rolling 30 Day Contract
500 Mins - Anytime Xnetwork
3000 Text
500Mb Data - £4 per Mb there after
(Therefore if an average download song is about 3Mb, each song download after the 500Mb will cost an extra £12 in Data).0 -
Is the t-mobile deal still available? The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Last I heard was that they were doing it for £10, and you could get a second sim for £7.50.
Phone and ask, worst they say is NO, but check that Data amount etc, to make sure it is the same.0 -

Is there a way to monitor your usage real time? I don't use much internet, been surviving on 1MB/month since forever with my current O2 contract! Hopefully, I won't exceed the limit with Tesco, if I do, I'll jump ship!Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -

I'm sure my hubby mentioned last night that he had downloaded an app that tells him how much data he has used. I have no idea if that's a forever total or a monthly total though.
I'll ask him tonight and let you know.
Disclaimer ~ I could be wrong because he was interrupting my soaps on tv to tell me so I didn't really take that much notice. I know he showed me something to do with data...I think :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Depends on your phone but i know there are apps on android and iphones that tell you how much data you have used. Its called 3g watchdog on android.0

Very, that's why I posted my warning.
It's a good deal if you're a low to average data user, but IMHO I think the T-Mobile deal is a lot better and safer for the average user (depending on network coverage).0 -

Asked hubby and he downloaded an app from the market place called Data Counter Widget. He can choose to view both cell data usage and wifi data usage that has occured daily, monthly, weekly or forever.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. If you got the t-mobile £7.50 pm and you've added the free land line booster then to save money on the standard t-mobile voice mail charges try 'hullomail' its free ( cost to divert comes out of your land line mins booster ) you get an sms and email every time you receive a voice mail message.
It will save you on the t-mobile standard 12p access charge.
Just call t-mobile and ask them to off your standard voice mail ( don't mention hullo mail )
also using 02002220900 access service to call 0800 numbers can also save you a few pennies.
hope this helps0
