basically the only way you will know which allowance you are on is to look on your bill if it says web and walk plus than you are on the 3gb fup otherwise you are not

Does anyone know if you can ask T-Mobile to put a cap on you monthly bill so you can't by mistake go over your 3GB limit or if my phone was nicked they can't run me up a massive bill.

I'm used to PAYG so the most I could be charged was the credit on my phone.

T mobile don't charge you for going over your data limit - they simply limit your speed down to around 350kpbs for the rest of the month (the cap they use on their 1gb fup contracts). They text you first too.

Gutted!! I've just been on to T mobile to see if they would still honour if I was ready to switch today (I missed out on this offer as it expired).

They said it was a retention deal only now for existing T mobile customers.

For new customers, however, the same deal is offered for £10p/m and if you take a 2nd Sim then the second one is for £7.50p/m.

£10p/m is still a good deal but when you could have got it for 25% less it doesn't seem so great. Penny pinching here but I politely declined.

Was just having a look at that earlier myself on Tesco. thought it was mis-price. It's cheap but the 500MB data limit puts me off.

Which networks offer WiFi access as part of their deal? Is it just O2 (the Clouad & BT Openzone) and is that with all their data allowance bundles?

I dont think any sim only plans give wifi access other than iphone sim only deals.

I have checked my online account and everything is fine. The bill is exactly £7.50 and i have got the 3gb package.

You can tell if you are getting the 3gb allowance as its says webnwalk PLUS in the billing section and im getting very fast speeds.

For those, who think they are on 3gb package, i would double check it as on the tmobile site it says its only 3gb for android phones.

And secondly on tmobile online, there is a section which asks you what phone you have. So i put in HTC desire which is what i have and it automatically knew my IMEI number. Maybe this is the way if they can see if you have an android phone or not???

I found the sales lady a little pushy.

"Officially the offer has ended but I can still do it for you" (£10pm). Said if I called back then I met not get it if I come through to somebody else.
  • Waiting for a call back - silly postcode at my old address, grrrr!! Applied for Tesco's offer yesterday with the same result.
Mad that I'm missing a cracking deal, even madder if I have to stay with o2!!

Deal done with Tesco for 500xnet, unltd texts, "unltd internet" for £10 30day sim only.

Very understanding customer service rep, sorted out the problem with my old postcode with minimum fuss while T-mobile were inflexible and utterly in 'computer says no' mode!

Of course, have to watch the Tesco FUP as this can be a real teeth kicker! T-mobile was a sweet deal, ah well!
