I understand your apprehension but 3GB is a lot of data.

It wasn't so much the 3GB of Data, I've an iPhone for the last 15 month and haven't used 3GB in all that time, it's if the phone is nicked or if I'm in the USA and forget to turn off Roaming.

I just don't want an unexpected bill

Does anyone know if you can ask T-Mobile to put a cap on you monthly bill so you can't by mistake go over your 3GB limit or if my phone was nicked they can't run me up a massive bill.

I'm used to PAYG so the most I could be charged was the credit on my phone.

The lady I spoke to says they don't charge you if you go over the 3gb but they just reduce your bandwith instead.

I also read on the Hot Uk Deals site that you can buy a dongle for £9 and use the sim / second sim in that

That would be great if you can. I read on a couple of mobile sites that using it on your laptop isn't allowed. How would they know if you did anyway?

I'm not sure, it's just some people seemed forced to buy 2 sims and where being told this.

Again if it's in your phone and you teether the phone to your laptop could they tell?

I guess it's a case of trying it for a few mins and check your bill online the next day to see if it's been picked up, it also goes back to my point of being able to have a cap on your bill so you can't run up a big bill.

Woohoo - all sorted. I went for the unlimited landline as my booster! Sim should arrive on Tuesday and i can call with my PAC then.

The only extra charge will be voicemail at 12p/minute, but I don't get many voicemails and it would be about 12p per voicemail to collect one if i take a minute.

Not bad 1/2 the price of my current tariff with way more included. i will now just get a 2nd hand smart phone on ebay.

    Thanks MSE!

I see you also selected unlimited landline's your booster, I forgot to ask if it's true unlimited (I guess it won't be) or if it's for the first 60mins of a call etc.

My thinking was the 600 mins will be used calling mobile numbers and the booster will be used calling landline's, therefore are we really getting:-

    600 mins to mobiles numbers
    Unlimited calls to landline's (01, 02 & 03 numbers)
    500 text
    3GB data

If so that's makes an amazing deal even better.

Yeah I suspect they will bill the 600 mins however you use it first and then your left with the landline usage.

In fairness I will never use this amount up - I use max 400 mins total a month plus about 100 texts max - sometimes less. But this is still cheaper than any deal offering fewer texts and mins plus the internet data is included here. :T:T

Just need to decide which smartphone now.

(Could you PM me the link too please? :) )

No - but they don't charge you for going over 3GB anyway.
