Just called up T-Mobile direct on 08009565057

They are still offering this deal
    600 mins
    500 texts
    Unlimited internet(3gb)
+Any available booster (Unlimited text, Unlimited Internet Booster, Unlimited Landline Talk Booster, Unlimited T-Mobile Talk Booster, Euro Talk & Text Booster, USA & Canada Talk Booster, Europe & Australasia Talk Booster)

but for £10 a months, It's a 12 month SIM only deal. Not as good as £7.50 but still good value for money. Allegedly the offer expires on Saturday 18th Dec.

I have been strongly considering Giff Gaff @ £10 p/m which includes 250 mins (ample for me), unlimited texts and unlimited internet (no cap apparently).

I've ordered this T-Mobile one instead because of the USA/Canada booster and also I thought in 12 months time I may be able to haggle an even better retention deal.

apparently the deal now does not include unlimited internet

however as has been mentioned, you either strike lucky or you have a tale to tell (as in my case)

I have got the deal this morning for £10 to include
    600 min's,500 texts, unlimited internet & 1 booster :beer::beer:

Is it 1gb or 3gb for data ?
Can you take your old number with you to t-mobile ?
Do you get HSDPA speeds ?

Should be 3gb but you may need to ask for it.
    Yes.
Yes, if they give you 3gb they give you HSDPA.

I just rung up for this deal and was informed that it was a deal that was running in November but has since expired, so she would have to check with her Manager, who in turn ended up checking with her Manager, who came back to say that I was able to get the deal, albeit not as stated above.

The new tariff appears to be a 12 month tariff discounted from £15 to £10, giving you:
    600 mins
    500 texts
    and then one booster.

At least that's how I understood it...

So you can ask for the 3gb unlimited high speed internet as the booster, but if you want unlimited texts you have to pay an additional £5 for them (as an additional Flexible Booster).

They also added a delivery charge of £6.99 as it was not ordered on the internet, but she said she would write off the £4 and I could pay the £2.99, so I went with that ;) The £2.99 is to be added to my first bill, but you can also pay it over the phone on the spot.

After the 12 months is up, the £5 reduction no longer applies and the tariff will rise to £15, meaning my bill for the tariff (with unltd internet and texts) will rise to £20.

I suppose it is a similar deal to the £10 SIM only 30-day-rolling-tariff deal offered here:
    http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-tariffs/

but has 500 more minutes. It is however worth noting that the unlimited internet on this 30 day deal is the standard 1gb throttled (to 350kbps) internet, rather than the 3gb high speed internet in the offer tariff this post is about.

I will check the T&Cs when they arrive with the SIM in a few days, and will make use of my 7 day cooling off period if I need to!!

seems a bit hit 'n' miss to me, depending on who you get thru to.
The 3GB internet was not a booster, I chose a booster (USA/Canada calls) in addition to the internet allowance.
I also didn't have to pay any postage.

EDIT: Although I have rec'd the SIm pack today, there is no information about my chosen tariff

I have also received mine today, as its for my daughters xmas present phone, I'm in no hurry to register the sim
however on the despatch note it states 3G sim pack (REV Q2 10) pretty certain I've read probably on HUKD once you register your sim on line your deal stating your offer should be in your on line acount

have you registered yours yet ???

on another note I haggled for the £10 deal but had to pay £4.25 delivery charge, wasn't to pleased with this, however was after the sim deal @ £10 which I got, so I paid it

No I've not registered my SIM yet. I'm already on T-Mobile so in order to continue with my existing number I've had to Port my number over to Virgin PAYG temporarily. I will then get another PAC Code and the port back over to T-Mobile on this new deal.

Anyway, after reading some posts on here, I phoned up TMobile CS to clarify the deal. She said I had 1GB of data but also the USA/Canada booster.

So the data is not actually a booster, it's included in the plan. I queried why its only 1GB when it should have been 3GB, she said I must have been given the wrong info when I bought it. I was bit miffed. Thinking of cancelling but she said 1GB would be difficult to exceed.

I've already got access to my T Mobile online billing account.

My Plan shows the 600mins/500 txts.

Under Current services, the boxes ticked are:
    Capped Data Rate
    Video Calling
    USA and Canada Talk Booster
    £5.00 Loyalty
  • Capped Data Rate

Is that 384kbs speeds rather than the faster HSDPA speeds ?
  • I believe it is, as the 1GB internet option appears to be capped to a slower speed by T Mobile, but this is not that well known by staff so they probably won't be able to answer your question with any confidence. I think the reasoning is to help stop you burning through 1GB too quickly.

If you read the T Mobile forum the posters on there have found that the technical team rather than customer services can confirm for sure, and they can also enable HSDPA, the same as the 3GB plan option, so you get the quicker service.

(It has however been reported that some SIM only users have done a speed test and found they're already on HSDPA on a 1GB plan, so test yours when you get it and you may not need to ring in to enable it.)

re: going over 1GB and hitting the FUP, I understand that T Mobile is more realistic than all of the other providers and will just restrict your access during the 4pm to midnight peak hours but leave you free to continue going over 1GB at full HSDPA (if enabled) at all other times :) rather than just cutting you off till the end of your billing period, which all the other providers seem to do!
