Thank You for your advise. I've got the deal finally. Spoke to the sales person and she immediately confirmed that the deal was still on. however, i needed to join as a new customer. asked if they could do a retention or loyalty deal for me but she said that's not possible. i didn't argue further as i was just pleased to be offered the deal after having such a hard time with them for the past few days.
    Many thanks again.
Were you at the end of your contract and trying to get this? I'm in the same position, just wondering what to do...

Hi Rev_henry, my mobile phone contract with t-mobile expired many months ago but I've just not upgraded. i've been trying to get them to upgrade me to this GBP10/month deal but somehow it isn't possible. this deal is only available as a new sign up i think and it doesn't matter if you're an existing t-mobile customer or not. i asked if i could get it cheaper by being an existing customer and that i am due for an upgrade but she said she can't do that. so, i just settled for this deal as i thought it is a reasonably good deal.
  • ^^ I guess if you're worried about keeping your number, a round about way might be to port your existing number out to another provider and port back later. Not sure about time limits on porting to a new contract though..

Does anyone know when this offer is likely to end.
I have two months remaining on my Vodafone contract and dont really want to miss out on this deal as Vodafone 12 month upgrades are pants.

If i have to grab it now, can i port my Vodafone number over when my contract is due to end in a couple of month time or does it have to be now when the contract is taken out?

    Thanks

Thanks Sid thats good to know i can do this a couple of months after getting the deal.
  • Just ordered my sim earlier this afternoon and was told it may arrive tomorrow but most probably be Monday.

I asked for the £7.50 deal but was told that offer had finished and it was now £15 but they could do it today for £10 (without any prompt). I was asked a few times throughout the process whether I needed two sims but wasn't pressured at all.

Got the same deal as everyone else, 600 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited (3Gb) internet and chose the unlimited land line as a booster.
  • I ended up cancelling my sim for this - it was doing odd things to my iphone and removing the 'cellular data network' option for some reason. It'sd there with my o2 sim, but as soon as I put the tmobile sim in, it disappeared! There are quite a few people with the same issue if the phone is jailbroken, but mine isn't.

Probably easy enough to fix, but coupled with the fact I couldn't get media messaging working either, I gave up. Shame, but I didn't really have the time to try and sort it out.

We'll see how the offers are looking when my o2 contract is up in November!
