Also, does the father not have a say at all? The foetus/baby has, and will always have, 50% of his genetic makeup. He should have an EQUAL say, but not a greater or lesser say.
In an ideal world yes, but there is also the small matter that a child is made in the woman's body, not the man's, so at the end of it all it should be her decision.
Also, the father can always walk out can't he? And so many do, and have nothing emotionally or financially to do with the child, whilst the mother is left literally holding the baby. Until there are unfallible structures in place that will force men to take full responsibility for the children they father, then no, they shouldn't have an equal say.
I think the OP should be careful though of the advice that she is given on a public forum and make the decision to keep or not keep her pregnancy after discussing it properly with her partner and making sure that whatever she decides it is what is best for both of them.LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

My boyfriend has admitted he is getting more and more used to it now, I suppose he just needed some time to get his head around it, its not like he can feel his body changing like me afterall! He nearly made me cry saying how lucky he feels to have me and our baby and how much he loves her, even thought we don't and won't know the sex for a while we keep calling the bean her for some unknown reason! I know I'm getting more excited aswell!0
