Who's still waiting for their OSPS cashback?"

Hi there- glad to here that most of you seem to have got your cashback claims sorted with OSPS ok , but I hate to be the odd one out but I have been totally ****** by them in relation to this.
I basically had problems in ordering the phone and it was only after I emailed Nick Edwards (Director of OSPS) and threatened to take the matter further that they honoured my order for the A800 with £300 cashback.
anyway the first cashback arrived no real problems after 3 months , even though their 45 day claim period is a joke in that realsitically it is only 10-15 days and even then you are relying on getting your bill from orange in that time.
Anyway apparently I had until the 16th to send my claim for the second cashback of £150 and the bill arrived on the 9th October. I immediately posted it first class recorded delivery and tracked it to see it arrived there on the 12th October.
I was waiting for the cheque when today I got a brush off letter saying I wasn't in time for the cashback. When I phoned customer services and spoke to the usual surly bloke there who refused to help he confirmed my claim period was 1st Sept to 16th October (I bought the phone on the 5th March so where he got these dates from is beyond me!) and as my letter arrived on the 18th October they were right not to pay. When I asked about who to contact he refused to give out any details and qoted a general mangers name (who effectively is merely a supervisor, from past experience).
I have emailed Nick edwards and included attachments showing the Recorded delivery slip and proof it got to them on the 12th, but I am apprehensive about whether they pay out as their policy seems to be toi make a stand and stick with it , however wrong it may be.
Any ideas out there about what else I can do in order to get them to pay up?
I definately won't be using this company again even if they are giving stuff away and paying you for it!Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -
If they don't honour the agreement after seeing your evidence, then you can sue them for the money they owe you via a small claim.
If your evidence is as you say, then you will win the claim!0 -
You may be interested to learn of my latest deal with them. They did not email me when the order was despatched. Sent only half the items. I had to chase them for the rest. They have now sent incorrect parts. I have emailed them several times and they want ME to pay to send incorrect parts back!
They just keep trying to fob me off!
I will keep you informed how I get on

They are now saying that my contract does not include the extras! However I am still not going to send back the parts they have sent incorrect, I will just never deal with them again. Pity really as my wife was going to go for the same deal but will not now. I have just read their blurb that came with my phone which says " you have our personal assurance that we will provide the best possible service and support from the UK's leading orange dealer"! What a joke!I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0

Hi Everyone, long time viewer, first time doer.
I am having problems with OSPS, I was late sending in my second claim as my wife was having our first baby at the time.
Bill date was 10th Sept, I sent it off on 10th Oct. They are saying that the 45 claim period ended on 2nd Oct.
I am fairly good at maths, but I can't work out their claim period.
They wrote back to me and said "this decision is final, and we are unable to respond to any further correspondence on this matter".
Could Del Boy Gupta give me the email address of their director, Nick Edwards, I believe.
I will try to email them, failing that I will write to them and threaten small claim court action.
Thanks for any help in advance.0 -
Scrimlets_Dad- They have been very consistent at NOT paying when the 45 days claim period have expired. I suspect you may have lost out here, but you can plead to their good nature - i.e. that you had a baby and they might take sympathy on you.
I don't think taking them on about the claim period will work but an alternative more cooperative approach might!
Good luck0 -
Surprise surprise,
after I sent them my snotty email to nick edwards and other directors I received an email back after a couple of hours from a "Marcin Gorski" who is the commercial manager<MarcinG@onestopphoneshop.co.uk>, who apologised and said that the wrong letter had been sent out to me and that they would arrange a cashback cheque. Low and behold a couple of days later the cheque arrived.
Basically they will try to s***w you if they can but send everything recorded delivery if you can.
nick edwards email is nick@onestopphoneshop.co.uk#
Basically I would never do business with this company again even though I have had my money (or most of it) back for the years contract.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -

I can only speak as I find, I found OSPS good to deal with. I made a ba**s up with my claim and they sent it back with advise on how to claim correctly. I will use them again.0
