Who's still waiting for their OSPS cashback?"
This is a new thread for followers of THE ONE STOP PHONE SHOP cashback . The thread appears in various places and i suggest ( or rather Luci suggested in another thread) that we start a new one here.
I am due to send my phone bill off very soon and claim the first £150 cashback and like others i am a little worried ( not that much) that things may go wrong.
Perhaps we cans upport each other through this thread.

I guess that Cashback offers
This thread is a very good idea.
I suggest that if someone has any problem getting their cashback from OSPS please report back immediately to this thread.
I'd also recommend them to send a complain to Trading Standards http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk If you input your postcode you will see your nearest branch and you can email them your complain. They are very professional and effective. I had problems before with TheMobileRepublic cashback. When i contacted Trading Standards they paid the cashback straight away.
For some reason most companies get really scared when they hear the word Trading Standards ;D
Hope it helps

I thought the cashback had to be claimed after 4 months, not 3. Best check otherwise it may be rejected for a valid reason.0

It is four months0

the cashback is after 3 months and 6 months but you can only change your tariff with Orange after 4 months. Please DON'T do it before 4 months otherwise you won't get the second cashback.
the details of where to send will be with the original letters you got. you should send the first two pages of your bill (even though the second page will prob contain itemised details of your calls) because the details of your tariff are on the second page.
to be on the safe side, photocopy everything you send off and post it by recorded delivery so they have to sign for it.
i will be posting mine back later this week.0 -
I need a definitive answer to what needs to be sent off.
Is it the bill received before the 3 monthly( and 6 monthly) date from connection as I think it is.
Otherwise I would have to wait for a bill after the 3/6 months are up and consequently take the risk of eating into OSPS arbitrary 45 day window.
Also I agree that 2 pages need to be sent in from the bill but I reckon photocopies should be Ok
Finally I endorse 150% the assertion that it should be sent by recorded delivery AND faxed in AS WELLYou know what... you can't beat a good bargain!!!0 -
Call them on the number on the bottom of the agreement to make sure you are sending the correct bill. Get the name of the person you speak to and in a covering letter name them. I have just sent off the first one for my wife with a copy of all of the bill. The bill has to be dated at least 3 months from the date you started the contract. I sent it recorded delivery, and stated that I will call them in 1 week to ensure everything is in order. I will post outcome.
TrevI am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
Terrier, the answer re where you send for the cashback: the letter you orginally had from OSPS has a page with two small parts which you have to cut off and send with the third bill - the address is on there. Hope this helps.

I have just had my claim rejected as incorrect! I sent pages one and two of the 1st three months invoices, plus the claim form. They were returned with a letter informing me that I had to be online for 3 months before sending in the claim Therefore, to return the claim form with the 4th months invoice. Lets hope alls well next time I send off the forms.0

Norman, that's how I understood it although I haven't read the details recently.0
