Remember folks, in Scotland anyway, children, pensioners and people on certain benefits can sign up to the Minor Ailments Scheme with their Pharmacies and they can get some medications free rather than having to buy over the counter. Just ask if this service is not offered to you. Its a great saving for Calpol, paracetamol, cough medicines etc. It can be a great saving if you are needing medicines but haveto keep to a tight budget.Every days a School day!0

Hello all, hope all the poorlies are feeling better soon.
Got back from my committe meeting now and watched the River Cottage Christmas, I'm really looking forward to all the yummy Christmas food now - it's my fave bit of Chistmas if I'm honest. Had an exciting day today, went to he hospital for 20 week scan and we're having a boy, all looked healthy and happy and was amazing to see him wiggling round not just feel it! DD was les interested than the first scan but think that was only because it took so much longer, she looked at the screen a few times and said baby but then went back to jumping around on daddy's knee (or somewhere close to there! ow!) Then went into the nearby town and finished off the christmas shopping with pressies for each other so all organised except the food will have to start the big bake and sweetie making this week - yay, if I can't enjoy the christmas booze at least I can eat Christmas food for two!0 -

Congratulations,
I'd be a bit careful of the Christmas food for two thing, only one of you gets to do the dieting in the New Year:rotfl:0 -
Hi thought I'd join this thread if its ok. DH job is looking v v dicey so I need to economize massively so looking forward to coming here severyday and seeing how everyone is doing and getting some good advice. I went to Aldi and Mr ts tonight and made a saving of £25 on what I normally spend-normally do an online shop with mr t but have been spending a fortune. was interested to know that lidl did night time pants-ds is nearly 5 and despite being potty trained since 2 and a bit is such a deep sleeper i can't keep him dry at night-i tried lifting him but he is just too comatose! Must try the lidl nappies for dd as well.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18
My Overdraft-£1500
Barclaycard-1089.77
Marks and Spencer card- 3331.30 next 92.67
Total was 11066.29 now £10,968.150 -
Gailey and Beckseven my ds wasn't dry at night until he was 5 1/2. I tried pull ups etc and they all leaked, so I kept him in nappies until he told me he was ready not to wear them. It saved him waking up in a wet bed, and I'm sure the cost of the nappies (Asda's own cheapies) were paid for in reduced washing costs and a less stressed mummy.
As for the parcels....well I posted my dad's christmas present first class on Friday morning. I always use track and trace as it saves me having to try and get hold of him to find out if it's got there. So far, it's only telling me what post office it was posted at. I'll let you know how long it's taken if it actually ever gets there.0 -
Hi Beckseven
Welcome.
Probably more people around - but cant thru to MSE at present.
I'm fighting my way thru at intervals. Very BAD struggle at mo. Of course tis 14 December - 2nd appearance of Julian Assange in court and think theres a massive cyberattack going on on t'Internet right now and we are caught in that backwash again.
Fought my way through to try and say what I think is happening to MSE.0 -
Ceridwen,
I'm not having a problem at all on MSE. Maybe only some people are? How strange? Thanks for the heads up on the date and what may happen today via internet.
