    500 nectar points = £2.50 (i think)

So say about £7.50 but if you go in the shop and use them sometimes you get more discounted off.

  • Hi all, sorry I've not visited in a while! I see there's a new thread and it sums up the weather perfectly! :snow_grin so cold!

I'm feeling more and more glad of my thrifty ways as I'm pretty much guaranteed to be made redundant in March. I work at a University and our funding has just run dry at the moment. There's a possibility of more work elsewhere but things are by no means certain and it would only be fixed term.

I can't believe it's going to be so cold again later this week. I resent having to pay for my heating so much! Time to trawl the heating thread for more tips :rotfl:

  • Its getting colder here today - the photos from asda finally turned up but no other goods did!

spent the morning doing toast at school then wrapping the presents for santa to deliver on thursday. The PTA was asked to help wrap the gifts and do the santa letters, apart from the two of us doing toast one other mum came and a mum came and wrote out the santa letters. I dont think I could wrap another present again!

  • Hi everyone:) Dh and I finally moved into our little 2 bed bungalow last Thursday. It is lovely but very short on storage, but we will get sorted in time. Still trying to find where I packed the weighing scales so we can have the bread making machine on again, which I really miss. The only downside is it has economy 7 storage heating, so it is new to us. We had gas heating in last house and it was great. It will be trial and error I quess for a while:). Very cold here and getting colder, but it was so good to see the snow away. Have been catching up on all the posts. Take care everyone and keep warm and well.xx
