plmbl I am thinking of one nearer to me but then it is further for others to visit from North East. A care home would give her a taste of what it is really like to be 'looked after' by others. It would also take the pressure off DC, DU and me.

Yesterday was a bit rediculous as Mr P and I were supposed to be looking after DGD so we took her with us. She was a bit tetchy when I left the hospital but so was Mr P :D

DC made us tea which really helped. And gave DGD a chance to run around before the journey home.

Little dog is still limping and her toe is a bit swollen. She has to go back to vets on Friday if she is still limping. The dogs were left for 7 hours yesterday. The longest ever left but they seem okay. It was a good way to keep little dog quiet. We give them the hall which in this house is quite big.

Today we have been to 4ldi for some food shopping and some flowers from DA. I also bought nappies and loo rolls for DD as she bought our shopping last week.

Money went in the bank today so I was surprised as was expecting it tomorrow. At least it meant we could buy at 4ldi instead of coop or 2par.

We went back to see DA today too ad she is a lot brighter, if very tiny. She loved seeing her great great niece. It brought a lovely smile to her face. We were allowed in the day room and DA managed the walk there quite easily.

My mum's cousin was there too. Just popped in before her flight to Amsterdam for her 90th birthday. Had to get a taxi she complained as she wasn't allowed to drive as she is 90 today! She is going with her 93 yr old cousin. It cheered us all up a lot to see her and hear her stories.

She is the cousin who gave me her sewing machine as she bought a new one.
I started a thread (on here yesterday) about sewing to encourage me to do something I love and to take my mind off things.

£43 well spent today at 4ldi and Council tax paid for the month too but 19 days late.

They are very lovely ladies and would hate the limelight brizzled.

I am looking after DGD today with the help of Mr P as he has no work again this week.

His workmate is on another job ad Mr P doesn't have any jobs he can do single handedly which is annoying as he wants to get on and people are waiting.

Today we have someone coming to collect the 34" TV and cabinet which DS" doesn't need in his new house. It will give us a lot more room in our hall.

We are not going to see DA today as it is such a long haul and not fair on DGD who has had to go there twice this week!!

I am going to go with Mr P to a play centre with DGD this afternoon. It is local, just 5 miles away and free.

Little dog is still limping a bit but is putting her weight on her paw a bit more so we are going to see how she goes over the weekend.

Sorry I am not keeping up with other peoples diaries very well ATM. Hopefully I can catch up tonight.

Phew, been to play session. I am shattered and so should DGD be. She is in her cot while I have a rest. It is much more difficult than being at home because you need to watch all around you all the time. I had forgotten! :D

Today DD has bee doing the cottage with Mr P. I have been trying to get DS3's car started.

He will be home late October but his SORN on his car ends ext week. he has asked that we take it in for a service and MOT. When Mr P tried to jump start the car the alarm sounds. I have been trying lots of different combinations of locking/unlocking doors, turning key in the lock etc to get it charged without the alarm sounding.

Eventually between the two of us we got car started. Mr P tested all the lights while I sdat i the car with engine running. When we finished I got out, locked the car, found hazards were still flashing anf then found that there isn't enough power to open the doors and the deadlock won't unlock. Aaarrgghh!

Back inside for a cup of tea and a rethink..

Does anything in life run smoothly?
