Thank you Granny x
Now I need some advice so thought I would ask you lovely people on here first. What can I take to the hospital to tempt DA to eat? It has to be something I can make quite cheaply, travels well, doesn't need heating up and is appealing to an 83 year old.
Actually it would be best if it could be made with ingredients I have in the house or available from our local general store.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Firstly check with the hospital that you can take home cooked food in, as some don't allow this. H&S, food hygiene reasons I think,
If it is allowed, what about a quiche salad

How about some scones? They are quite cheap to make and I don't know anyone that says no to them. Or fruit loaf. If you're searching for dinners though my brain seems to be hard wired to sweet at the moment and i'm having a blank

Meals are much more difficult from the keeping warm aspect.
Some nice home baking would be much appreciated though I'm sure.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I was cooking and Mr P said that we needed to leave immediately so I left my home cooking behind
I have it for another day. I just lost track of time.
So we stopped at M and S and I bought a mini quiche and a packet of dried apricots. Cost under £5 so we have £16.50 left
I made soup this morning and some biscuits. I even left the flask on the worktop next to the soup pan!! DD says we could go again tomorrow and take some soup but DA is turning her nose up at everything and saying we don't understand. I really wish I knew what she really wants as I so want to help her to have a better quality of life.
Oh how I wish I lived nearer or she would come and live with us....
Mr P mega grumpy today too which hasn't helped but he has been pleasant around the relatives so shouldn't complain too much. And he is not feeling well at all.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hugs, all you can do is be there for her, I should imagine she is struggling with the knowledge that she is struggling. Maybe next time she says you don't understand, admit that actually no you don't, but want to. You never know, she may just take that as the opportunity to explain, or try to anyway.
I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this extra worry.
I hope both Mr P and you dear Pooh are feeling better soon.
How is little dog today?
hugs and well wishes, thoughts and prayers for a good day tomorrow

Granny I will try what you suggest when I go back tomorrow.
Mr P is still really chesty but not grumpy anymore which is a relief. Can't cope with grumpy and DA etc.
We are having a day at home today: catching up on things and cancelling some of DA's subscriptions. She has dozens of charities she supports.
Before she was poorly she asked me to cancel subscriptions as she can't cope with all the mail including junk mail.
I also have some care homes to call to see if she could go there for convalescence after her hospital stay and to give her and us a chance to find what she really wants.
Someone put cash in my coat pocket yesterday.:D It was enough to fill the car with petrol. I am pretty sure it was DC and we are extremenly grateful as it means we can get to the hospital and back twice!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
