Debt free in ten years-my new, more realistic challenge.

I slept very badly last night as I am so worried about DA. I just turned things over in my mind for hours.
DA is very muddled and drowning under piles of junk mail. She is already signed to MPS but now needs people she has been giving to to stop posting things to her. She will soon be snowed under with charity C'mas catalogues.
We have brought piles back so I can write to each one and ask them to stop.
She gave me a 2 litre bottle of milk to take home as she couldn't lift it. I forgot it so she has phoned DC who has had to do a 12 mile journey to take a bottle of milk out of the fridge. I feel bad that someone else had to be called out because we forgot. She is terribly worried about her memory problems and is in such a muddle about everything.
I am relieved to find that she is now accepting a bit of help from other relatives. My cousin is doing shopping each week and another aunt is helping with finances.
A very busy day over. I have been to the chiropracter and have been told to have a complete rest tomorrow. It cost £30 but I can claim back 80% from Simply Health. I must remember tomorrow to claim back my dental costs from last week.
Today I have spent on petrol £50, 4ldi £48.90, chiro £30 and M and S £14.50. I hefty spending day.
DS2 liked the house we looked at and has agreed to pay a holding fee of £150. He hasn't met the other people in the house yet but was impressed by how clean and tidy it is.
I was shattered by the time I got back home and had a lovely surprise. Mr P had made dinner for us allbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I was awake during the night thinking of DA again. As a result I slept in this morning.
There is a community lunch today. Two course for £4. I am busy debating whether to go or not. I had forgotten all about it. My old friends are great.they have invited me to join them. Last week we just picked up where we left off months ago. I am going to allow myself a little bit of money per week as I used to. Then I can meet up with friends again.
Today is going to be another spend day. Hopefully just the £4.

Happy I think it is all too easy to become money obsessed and lose track of friends etc. A little treat is good for us
I hope you are going to have little treats too.

Things never seem to run smoothly for long. We had a lovely wedding and the house swap went well. Since then I have been away looking after my DA who is terribly confused.
When we arrived home from the wedding we fille3d the car with petrol. It was my idea to fill it and I said to Mr P that we would have to make it last until 17th.
The following day we were at DA's as she had phoned to say she had nothing to eat and couldn't walk. When we arrived DC was already there. I decided to stay a couple of days to help DA but had to come home last night as I didn't feel I was really helping. I made sure she had her tea and food for today though.
DC is great, she has been again tonight and put DA to bed after makig her some food. She hadn't touched the things |I left out for today. I feel that between the two of us we will be DA's carers until she agrees to outside help. I feel bad to say that it feels such a huge relief to be home for now.
I have found a company that delivers hot meals so will order one to be taken to DA tomorrrow. It costs £4 inc free delivery. Not to be sniffed at. One tank of petrol took us to and from DA's twice!! I feel mean comparing costs when obviously DA wants our company too.
Good news too. When I arrived home from DA's I had received four deposit cheques for the cottage for next year
DS2 heard tonight that he can move into his house tomorrow, phew. I was beginning to wonder if the £150 bond we paid was a scam as he had been given the go ahead to move in last week then they changed their minds.
DS1 goes off to the States in the early hours to stay with his fiancee for a week. Mr P is taking him to the airport at 6am then moving DS2 into his house for 2.30pm at opposite sides of the country.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Just heard DS1 is safely at the airport. Leg one of four is now completed by Mr P. He is now stuck in traffic outside Manchester
as we have no traffic at all here last weekend was a novelty. Today he is finding it a bit stressful.
Yesterday was a NSD but I wil be spending £4 on a meal for DA. Not sure yet whether to include spends on DA. They are extras but absolutely necessary. Something to mull over today.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
