Are you saying that you have already been to see the show but you are now going to use the same printout a second time so that a relative can use it fraudulently? :mad:0 -

I couldn't agree more. The service from ShowFilmFirst is shocking and recommend that no one else signs up for it. What are the chances of getting a refund after a year if we can't even get a reply from a simple email?!
Thanks for the replies. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

Thanks for you help by the way
The fact that you are trying to change the name proves that you are trying to cheat the system.
The reminder is automated, it is NOT another invitation.
These shows are extremely rare outside of London and it's people like you who will stop future shows for the rest of us.
Stop being greedy. You've been to the show, appreciate the fact that you've seen a fantastic show for free instead of trying to cheat.0 -
ILOVEHOLIDAYS wrote: »why is name changing trying to cheat the system - how many other people have actually wrote that they was going to give their family/friends the tickets for show/cinema i was mearly saying that if they have given me some more rather then lose them i would ask could my brother and nephew go thats not cheating!!! my brother has been signed up on SFF a lot longer then me and has never had a ticket request
if the reminder is automated why when i log into my account is the tickets available??
i know these are rare occasions and i am happy of the fact that i have been
why am i greedy?? as stated in my original post which you havent cared to read i was asking if i couldnt change the name how could i let SFF know that i wasnt going so they could offer them out to someone else
take it you havent received any tickets
Firstly, you were not sent an invitation, all ordinary patrons applied for tickets. If you were successful, you were sent an email to printout and exchange for tickets at the Box Office. In some cases (this applied to you) you were contacted to tell you that your tickets were not valid for the original date and were told they were valid for a different date. You went to the show on that new date.
All reminders sent by Showff clearly state that they are reminders, they are automated. They are often sent out even when films/events have been cancelled. It happens, I am not here to state why it happens, it just does and has done for years even when Showff were called Seefilmfirst.
It is not an invitation to reissue the tickets that have already been used.
By trying to change the name to get a second set of tickets for a relative, you are defrauding the company.
Secondly, I have been to the show, I saw it on Friday of last week.
Thirdly, I have reported you for openly and repeatedly discussing a fraudulent act.0 -
I sometimes wonder whether the cinemas take these previews seriously.
After reading some posts above about arriving in time, we arrived (far too) early for the 6.30 preview of Horrible Bosses at the Cineworld Enfield yesterday. I asked what time we could go through the barrier and the sadly misinformed person said '6.30'. I politely pointed out that the film would begin at 6.30, she said No - the film would begin 5 minutes later and confirmed that - in her mind at least - people would be let through en masse at 6.30 to take their seats for 6.35-ish.
Totally wrong, of course. We went back at about 6.15. A more informed person let us through and screen was already 50% full. The film started promptly at 6.30.
Apart from the film being total rubbish and the guy who came in halfway through and spent the rest of the time on his Blackberry, we had a reasonable evening out.0 -
Hey, for those of you asking about Batman... I went last week and picked up tickets about 3pm. We were amoung the first to pick up and had really good seats, although the guy said tickets are just random. I'd pick up early either way just for piece of mind, especially if you have excited kids to take. :-)0
