Has anyone had any luck with the VIP service at SFF? Having paid for this I have not heard a thing, had no replies to my emails and now don't even appear to have SFF account! I cannot reverse my paypal payment either as it was paid over 45days ago. :-(

I had exactly the same experience, with no response to multiple emails sent to them over several weeks. Someone else on this forum suggested re-registering with the site - apparently a lot of emails were taken off their mailing list, and sure enough, when I tried to log in, it didn't recognise me. I did re-register, but in the month or so since I've done that, I've had just two VIP alerts, one I couldn't go to, the other was for Horrible Bosses screening which the date was changed for, so I couldn't go to that either! So far, received nothing for my money, not even the courtesy of a reply to my emails. You might have better luck if you re-register. But I will be cancelling my payment to them - you can't get a refund this year, but you should be aware that when you signed up, you committed to an annual subscription, paid automatically each year unless you specifically cancel.

SFF frequently cancel accounts. All you need to do is re-register all the same details. It has nothing to do with your VIP account.

    Thanks. Will do.

Do you have any idea what I am actually supposed to be receiving for this paid VIP account? I've had no communication whatsoever from them and their failure to reply to any emails is making me regret handing over any money!!

Thanks. I have already cancelled the automatic annual payment to them. I just think what a joke. We get more codes and tickets off this site and not even one courtesy email from SFF.

I never paid for VIP service, always considered it a waste of money and sadly many of the people I know who have paid for it have had similar experiences to you.

When you signed up for it, surely they told you what you should expect for your money. If they have not supplied what they promised, maybe they are in breach of contract and you can stop the payments? Just a thought.
  • I managed to get 4 tickets for Southend on Sea so am very happy about that.

They promised you would get at least one free ticket for the membership fee, within the first year, or they would refund the money! So, VIP members would have to wait 12 months from joining to have any prospect of a refund. Too late to stop the first payment, but will definitely be stopping automatic renewals. It's a really poor way to treat paying customers at the very least they could respond to emails - and I know they received my repeated emails, as I always got a "message received and will respond within 24 hours" acknowledgement. Never got any further response to any emails. Definitely recommend that no-one else signs up for VIP membership, it's a complete waste.
  • sorry to go back onto the mail code - i have requested 8 tickets taking my 6 nephew and nieces + 2 adults i bought the last mail on sunday and in it says 2 tickets with each code which obviously lets you get 4 - has anybody requested more then 4 tickets and if so have you got 2 papers? it will be useful to know how the people that got cars tickets went on

Sorry I was being sarcastic.:rotfl: But thank you for your reply. Obviously I know what I signed up for but I just wondered what I had paid for if I wasn't receiving even 1 alert! Lesson learnt. Definitely a waste of money.

I couldn't agree more. The service from ShowFilmFirst is shocking and recommend that no one else signs up for it. What are the chances of getting a refund after a year if we can't even get a reply from a simple email?!

    Thanks for the replies.
  • hi everyone, can anybody offer me some advice?
i have 2 tickets for a free showing tonight and i want to give them to a friend, however they have my name on... do you think i could just change the name on the ticket before printing it, or will the cinema have a list to go off? Don't want them to be refused at the door lol!!

any advice would be much appreciated x
