I wouldn't have made it this far f it wasn't for my wonderful family and the fantastic support help and advice from all of the wonderful people on here. Thank you all so much for helping me through one of the most difficult times of my life. I know it's not over yet, and I am still climbing up the hill, but the top is getting closer and closer. I will keep
Posting as my journey progresses.
Next step is to try and buy a car and learn to drive, pay off my debts and start to live. The car will be a godsend cos it will make life so much easier, and stick 2 fingers up to anyone who thought I couldn't survive on my own, so ha ha ha, I'm doing it (and hawaaii may still be possible) xx0 -
My goodness what a string young lady you are. I am new here so hope you don't mind me sticking my two pennies in, but I think you said earlier he earned a decent wage? That being so you need to get yourself some maintenance my love. If you have been married more than a year you need to issue a divorce petition and then file a document called Form A. You might not get much, and it will be for a limited period if time, but if he has money and has left you in the lurch he is legally obliged to support you. Get in touch with legal aid lawyer and ask for free consultation to find out where you stand. If nothing else it might drag him to the table to talk about his responsibilities.
Best of luck my dear.0 -
Good Luck. You sound very positive. You are doing brilliantly. You are right - material things can be replaced, debt can go away and you can start a new life. Take Care. You are so young and you have so many good times ahead. Stay strong! Thinking of you xx0

Hi again LMT, just a small note to add onto this re: your wages being paid into Joint Account.
My other half just had to change bank accounts (infact we both did as we are entering into an IVA - but that's another story) and has taken his new bank details to his employer this morning.
He gets paid 2 weeks today and it has been no issue for them to change the account in which they pay into. My employer has also been able to change this too.
Seems a bit odd your Employer is unable?
I'd check because to be honest you probably don't want him even having your account number for your sole account even if he cannot access it. (You said this would show up on the Joint Account due to the transfer)
I've just been burnt so many times in life that I like to have my back door guarded.
On another note you are doing brilliantly!! So strong and positive! Excellent - he's obviously a complete plant to leave you xxx:doh:When looking at the climb in front of you, don't forget to look back once in a while and see how far you have come:j
and remember...
All the worrying in the world won't change anything...so breathe:beer:0 -

Little mis T
we have covered this before.
Your contract ends very shortly. As long as you leave the day it ends, you are NOT required to give notice, just get out.
Go over to the renting and selling forum and ask there if you need reassurance.
it would be polite if you told the EA you are going first but no legally required. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Go Little Miss T :T:T:T.
I definitely think Hawaii is still on the cards - it might be a little further away but I am sure you will get there before too long.

Don't forget to arrange with the Post Office to have your mail forwarded to wherever you're moving to. The last thing you want to have to cope with now is some future tenant of your flat stealing your identity! Good luck for the future.0

Hey little miss T sent you a PM know how you feel been there myself alas lucky(or unlucky) i wasnt married.
all the info here is good inform everyone basically (banks, council *council tax reduction*,job centre and even ur employees if they are understanding they may be slightly more forgiving if you have to nip out for something.
Book an appointment with citizens advice they are good with alot of situations and can help you with any benefits you are entitled to claim.
Dont ignore any debt letters if you recieve them instead WRITE back to them explaning your current situation if they phone you ever ask them to communicate in writing only (stops them trying to intimidate so much as well as giving you proof of everything
if your debts ever start mounting sell everything to a family member or close friend get them to write a receipt. then they own it and your renting it
if people start knocking on the door asking for money never let them in oh and if this happens and you drive park away from your house
any clothes of his find and shred
and let me know when ur off to hawaii I could use a break myself!0
