If you are phoning to balance transfer within the required 6 weeks make sure you insist on FEE FREE as stated in their promotion because as I mentioned earlier in the thread they dont know about the promotion in the BT dept, nor in the branch and it makes you begin to feel as if you must have read it wrong.
They charged me £60, as I noticed on my online statement and I had to ring up and complain. The charge has now been removed. Also they wont allow a BT for the full credit limit, I had to leave £100 in.
debt free...yippee :dance:0 -
Thanks for that gem4. On one of the leaflets it says to quote a certain code for BT fee free, I just need to remember where I put it!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

humfer wrote:Yep just checked my wifes account (we have a joint account) and its definately finished which makes we extra glad I applied for mine at the end of the week before last. Got my PIN today so card cannot be too far behind. Credit card is now listed on my internet banking although still showing a zero balance - wonder how long it takes for the balance transfer amount to appear (applied during the application)
Just logged on and my balance transfer has been completed. Not back - under 2 weeks from applying. Dead chuffed. Thanks again to the original poster as I doubt I would have spotted this0 -
THanks for posting that! I just checked online too, and my transfer is sitting there as well! :beer:humfer wrote:Just logged on and my balance transfer has been completed. humfer wrote:Changed to Lloyds a few months ago and shocked at how quick it took. If your going to purely open the account and not too worried about them changing all the DD's I'm sure they could have it up and running in a week or so. However with this offer, when you click on it it offers a credit limit which suggest they have been monitoring accounts over the past few weeks. Therefore I'm not sure that if you opened a new account, you would be able to take advantage of this straight away. Still, its worth the try and costs you nothing to try. Also you could also take advantage of the 2 yr fixed 8% regular saver account

I did this today - went in and opened a classic current and monthly saver. They did a credit search for this , then offered me the credit card with £3500 limit there and then. Didn't even ask - din't need one yet as i have applied for 2 in the last month and got £9500 limit. But fees free and )% - it would have been rude not to!!0 -

Did you say you just applied the day before yesterday? Did you apply thru the branch ? I thought that this offer has already been finished the last time I checked on the 17/10/06.0 -
after logging in, the site implied a £12500 limit.. am I to assume this is personalised to me rather than what on every page...
that said if they are charging a fee, I'm unlikely to botherAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
