Ooo that reminds me, must dig out my PJs!0 -
Ours is on for an hour or so morning and evening now but with the thermo turned down to 16. If it gets much colder in the evening I will turn it up a little.
We live in an old terrace, lovely during the day as we have stay at home neighbours with their heating onBut I do worry about it feeling damp as we've had issues before.
Youngest was moaning he was freezing in the week, no socks on and with damp trousers and hoodie where he'd been out in the rain. Then got an ice lolly out of the freezer, whilst moaning I won't put the heating on properly yet.
It is jumper and socks weather (as my MIL puts it) and I have put the fleecy blanket and flannelette sheets on the beds - which seems to have gone down well here. Had to get new boiler last year and since then the bills have come down dramatically (which actually shut me up a bit because I am so cynical of these claims normally). This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Fingers crossed, still off at the moment, as its fairly mild here in Kent0

Off at the moment. Had a thoroughly miserable beginning of September and had it on for a couple of hours for a day or two but that's been it. Got into the autumnal spirit of thing now. Currently sat in bed without socks or a jumper so definitely not feeling too cold.
The house does seem to be even damper than I thought though. Been running the dehumidifier for a few hours today and it's collected quite a bit in rooms I didn't think were too bad.Times is 'ard.0 -
The weather is not really cold yet, what are you going to do when it is cold and frosty mornings and nights..?.Wouldnt have thought you can put much more clothing on to sleep....;)
Been nice super sunny day today, so no heating, turning chilly now so now got the GCH on........
Like you I'm in Suffolk (Framlingham) and it hasn't been properly cold yet so far, although it was a little cold outside this evening.
For the rest of you, it would be interesting to know what part of the UK you are living it, as not all of you detail this in your profile.0 -

We are in the North West & have no thoughts of having any heating on yet.
We have done the same as last year though, & lit candles in the evening. Not sure if they do generate any heat as such or if they just look pretty!Either way, they work for us. :rotfl:
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -
