Is your heating ON or OFF?

The thermostat says 13 degrees in here but it feels colder than when it was icy outside, so it must be the humidity that's doing it. I've treated myself by putting it on as I was so good during the coldest months. The bill was a lot less than I expected so I deserve a treat, darn it, even if it's just on for an hour or so.
I was contemplating slipping back into my thermals when I thought I'd not need them again until about November-time. Silly me, I should have known I was in danger of putting a hex on it. "Cast not a clout until May is out" and all that.
Never mind, summer's almost here! Almost.0 -
just put it on after 6-8 weeks off. The rain is making me feel a wee bit chilled: 61f inside, 45f outside0

Oh I can now join in with this thread! Much cooler in Melbourne last few days so my heating has been on in the evenings! We don't have radiators but gas powered floor vented heating that also uses electricity to push the warm air through, so we only put it on if we really have to as it uses both fuels.0

we've had the log burner on and the radiators on for hour to heat upstairs up for the kids bath time. I can't believe we are feeling the need for either. Was 16oC yesterday and that was with the log burner on (It's in a different room and slowly filters out to the rest of the house) where thermostat is in corridor.

OH bought the fan heater in the bedroom over the weekend as I was cold. The GCH was on at 20c so for our house cool but as I wasn't good, it was only worth putting on when got a little chilly. I had 3 layers on too as well as my embolism stockings and socks and support gloves. To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

After a whole week of chilly temps and torrential downpours I woke up to the sun streaming through the windows and a nice not-freezing breeze this morning. It's right good laundry-drying weather today so I must get on.
Spring is back, even if it's only for a day. Maybe longer *crosses fingers*0 -
Still wet, grey and cold up here, the heating has been on every day for a few hours each evening to warm the house up. When we had that freakish summer weather a few weeks back I thought the heating would be off until autumn but no, it's had to go back on because it's blooming freezing up here.Dum Spiro Spero0

I absolutely refuse to be cold even if it is July. I've just come in out of the cold and rain and turned the heating on!!! In July??? I've put a jumper on over my summer top and a pair of thick, opaque tights over my lovely tanned legs (had a holiday a couple of weeks ago).
How's everyone else managing?0 -
i have just had a new carpet with really thick underlay so sitting room is really warm, rest of house is just ok.
If it gets much colder I will put on the heating, am finding it hard to get the washing dry so putting the heating on would also help with that
I have managed to get two loads dry today but rain forecast for rest of the week
I also refuse to sit here freezing, although in my house I feel the cold worse than OH and DS0 -
I refuse to put the heating on in July.....but I am wearing a fleece at the moment! DS is sitting here in a T shirt so he's obviously not bothered.0
