I did consider it, very briefly the other night, but then thought no, it's August (as it was then) although I wonder if I will last to November.

Tested heating one day last week for 10 minutes. There are days where it''s nippy in the house but i've been wrapping up instead. We have fleece blankets in cupboard and wheat/rice bags. I can't say I won't have the heating off till such a time but I won't even contemplate it until it falls below 10 degrees during the day.

My heating is off and hopefully staying off until the October holidays. I try to switch it off in April until October, that didnt work very well last year so fingers crossed it doesnt get too cold here too quickly this year.

I haven't had the heating on yet. I just looked at our thermostat and it is currently 21 degrees in here. I think it should be a while before we put it on. I always put it on if it drops below 19.
I am lucky that we have good windows and doors and insulation to keep the heat in.
I keep meaning to read the get ready for winter thread to see if I can pick up any heating cost tips. I should really do it before the cold weather comes in.:o

  • My thermostat currently says 22. I'm currently wearing just a long-sleeved t-shirt which is plenty warm enough, but at this time of year I generally put a fleece or cardi over the top in the evenings.

Because I live in a middle-floor flat, it never gets too hot or too cold, but as a rule, I don't put the heating on until past the October half term. And if I can go longer, great!

Last couple of nights and inclusing tonight it has been off, but during the week (last week) one evening it was very cool - the night we got the frosts might have been Wednesday night thinking about it - we popped the heating on for a about an hour. It warmed the place through and kept the chill off.
