    Ours is off unless the OH is cold when he gets up in the morning in which case he sets the timer for the next day - and I turn it off again after he complains it's too stuffy when he wakes up.

    Lovely sitting outside in the garden in t shirt and shorts here in Brighton today. Spent £4.82 on gas this week and the same week last year it was £8.44. Still haven't set the heating to come on automatically.

    I'm only putting ours on in the evenings at the moment if it's cold enough. I'm sure this time last year it was on constantly, but it is mild and I'm not complaining!

    you're telling me. I gave a gas meter reading online two weeks ago, barely used any since the last reading. On the 8th i got an email telling me that they were sending somebody out to read my meter; must think i was lying to get my bill down.
