Is your heating ON or OFF?

Mine still off, kids not complaining as much but it has been milder here. Dehumidifier earning its keep. No tumble drier yet since last spring- just the occasional whirl for the odd item that needed a good drying. Might get some of those cheap £3 jobby dehumidifiers for each bedroom from Amazon, we do get some damp in the corners. Forecast is looking colder for next week with just 3 at night by Wednesday. Can anyone tell me which is cheaper: do we use the timer to control the heating say an hour here and there (when we finally relent) or do we set the thermostat?0

On and off on very low today, and only because I have some laundry that is still a wee damp and want it to finish drying tonight so I can put it away. That said, I find it has turned a little chillier today.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

I had it on for an hour in the evening 2 or three days last week (but only the radiator in the livingroom), off again now though! - this is feeling very warm for Nov....I hope that the weather doesn't get too cold over the winter - last year was a nightmare to get out of bed on the cold morings, even with the heating on!0

Ours is off. Think we have had the gas fire on once and the CH twice so far. DS sat in shorts and tshirt, no socks, so he's warm.

We've had a beautiful day here.
Never mind putting the heating on we've had to have all the windows and doors open to keep cool.
Certainly very confusing weather for November.0 -

Same here, heat remains off although DS made a visit home from Uni tonight & declared he was cold.... so we lit a couple of candles & told him to wear a fleece :rotfl::rotfl:

Finding it hard to believe it's almost mid November and the heating is "off" far, far more than it's "on"0
