Well we didnt have a frost overnight last night, we woke up to 9 degrees and dull, misty, drizzle day, and its been like that all day.........temp hit 14 today, so thats not been too bad........But when its cloudy and damp outside its nice to have a bit of heat.....had to have lamps on nearly all day...............0

I've given in and fired up the woodburner (which heats the radiators up as well) as I have worn an extra layer and still been shivering most of the day. It took me three attempts to get it to catch light properly. I always forget how to get the fire started, when I haven't had to light it for months!
At least this means I will be able to have a lovely warm bath later and not have to get out into the freezing bathroom.0 -
Still off,no frost like others but a lot colder.OH put a jumper on instead of just being in his T-shirt.Have got the candles going now so the LR is warming up nicely.0

It's on. Whether it will stay on or not, I don't know, but for now at least I am warm!0

Mine is on hte thermostat and it came on for the first time this year for about and hour or so at around 3pm, so the temperature must have really dropped outside. Might nudge it down to 15deg though as I felt we could have coped with it not being on. Though the DC have been grumbling the last few days.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Ours is still off (hasn't been on since we moved in on the 15/9) I'm hoping we can last until 15/11! I work for a large utility company so thoroughly begrudge paying them my wages :-)First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
On. temperature dropped to 16 inside and my fingers were really cold even with gloves.0

Off atm but we've set the timer to come on for tomorrow. I think it's meant to be warmer the rest of the week but waking up this morning to lots of frost and then walking in it for half an hour was not fun!
To be honest we could last without it on for a while longer by wrapping up and layering etc but I'm also worried about the house this year and I've started to go round the windows with a towel which is not a good sign. Oct 15th was my target this year and we nearly got a month more out of that so I'm pleased.
Keep warm (one way or another) everyone!Times is 'ard.0 -
Still off, all sat snuggled in blankets with hwb watching Jackson verdict. Kids gone to bed and we are sat now with warm tea and a couple of candles for company. Can I hold out until the weekend?0
