  • We've not had ours on yet, we're in the East Mids. Was a little bit chilly last night so put a fleece on.

I love my electric blanket now. I also sleep with the bedroom window open, and the one in the bathroom, which is next door and we leave the doors open, so it can sometimes be a freezing whirlwind up there. Its lovely lying snug in a warm bed in a cold room. I don't sleep well in heated rooms, but like a heated bed.

Im the same I have my little and big window open 24/7, I just cannot sleep with the windows open, I love a nice frost blowing in the window:eek: when im nicely snuggled in my down and feather,:D plus it helps keep my sinuses from bunging up too much.................Its been cloudy here today at about 14 degrees, did have the heating on for hour at tea time,my temp in the house now is 21 so that,ll do nicely...:D

I've switched some of the rads on now ie bathroom, kitchen and hallway. It's been grey and damp all day and the house feels cold. Heating kicked in when I moved the thermostat to 13.

We always have our bedroom window open though and no heat on in there either.

OK, so tonight I've done some furniture swapping... I've moved the sofa into a windowless corner of the room so that I can curtain it off and keep it warm (once I've obtained some curtain poles and fabric). I still don't have a heater so I can still accurately say "OFF", however I have got a little electric heated pad under my bum

Still off here.......and checking the long range forecast, which is for it to remain very mild, particularly in the south, i doubt i'll need the heating for yet another week! maybe can last til Dec 1 this year!

that would be pretty amazing. I have lit the woodburner a few times now, had I known there would be much chance of that it would have been an incredible goal.....

We've given in on a couple of occasions and had the heating on briefly. Usually its because we're expecting visitors and felt we needed to warm the place up a bit. However, so far we've resisted the urge to put it on permanently.

I have my house coat and other half has an old quilt that he snuggles under. So we could last a while I think.
