Well my CH thermostat is turned to 16.5C which clicked on a couple of times last week, but looks like it wont be coming on this week with this mild weather (I hope).

So mine is on but... not on.

I have to say that this is the lowest our CH has ever been set at and im hoping to keep it at this temp over winter, will have to see how it goes

OH is still walking around in shorts and t shirt wish i didnt feel the cold like him.

I think it is something psychological about the 1st November. One day last week I was frozen and finished up wrapped in throws with a hot water bottle on my lap as it wasn't worth putting the heating on when DH and DD were saying they weren't cold. Yesterday when the weather was considerably warmer DH is saying we will have to put the heating on it is getting cold. It was definitely warmer yesterday but it is November now........

One thing we have done this year that has proved worth the expense is have a small heater installed in the bathroom. We can take the chill off the bathroom first thing in the morning without having to heat the whole house.

    I've been Money Tipped!
ilder still this morning. :) I was ot on the yard in just a long sleeve t shirt....ok, working up a bit of a sweat, but didn't need my jacket while doing that.

It is harder for me now the evenings are longer. It feels colder because its darker in the afternoon IMO.

Heating been on for 2 hours yesterday and this morning not because its cold but because its been raining and the washing pile was so big kids were moaning they were running out of clean stuff .......funny i've got less clothes than them put together and i've still got clean stuff

anyhow indoor airers x 3 were full doorways full stuck 8 yep 8 pairs jeans on line came in damp i did 3 loads and i've got another 3 at least and thats not counting bedding or towels i'm sure i did less when all 7 were at home oh well wash nearly finnished so time to reload airers and rads and anywhere else i can fit some stuff if i've got to use heating i might as well get it all (i hope) done today then heat will be off till cold below 16 at least we are in november and if it has to go on i don't feel quite so bad about it but will be limited as can't risk a big bill nov to jan last winter was high enough at £160 no way i can afford that this winter

was going in to mr a on tuesday and water company werehanding outa leaflet GET WINTER WISE with an ice scraper and inside the leaflet was a thermometor it says Time for a jumper at 15-18 c and anythong lower it says pipes can freeze this will be getting put somewhere useful
