Still another two weeks before the heating goes on here, though I have no say in the matter and don't pay for it anyway so mustn't grumble :o

Put another jumper on as my mum would always say!

Still off here but only because it's so mild.
    In Progress!!!
  • Evening ladies and gents, may i joing you please ?

My CH is off, but i have been using the open fire for a few nights.. although not every night yet. Normally i would have given in by now and had the CH on every evening, but its been such a mild autumn so far i havent needed to. i do hope it lasts !

I put all my washing on the line at 8am and it was still wet at 3pm, so im having to use my tumble dryer more than i want to.

the heavens have opened here now.

I had towels out earlier and they're almost dry - I noticed about 2pm that it was starting to feel "damp" outside so brought them in for the final bit.

I tend to find at this time of year, you've got to bring the washing in really early or it ends up almost wet again with the damp in the air.:(

Heating still off here too - have been OK but have just been into the kitchen where the oven is on and the lounge now feels really cold!

Heating dared to come on just before I got in from work, so off it went again and woodstove lit!
  • I love my fire .. we moved house in febuary and this is the first time ive ever had a fire. im still learnig how to use it though.

back in feb we lit the fire every night and the house was freezing, we couldnt work out what we were doing wrong, im still not sure but so far this autumn ive found that the big logs seem to give out a hotter but slower heat than the beams etc that we also burn, and all my wood has been free so far :-)

Still off! I'm feeling very pleased with myself, I'd normally have it on mid September. It is quite mild here in London though but when it gets a bit chilly I'm wearing layers and using my slanket. I was aiming to keep it off until next Wednesday but I might aim for the end of November instead.

Still off, kids moaning about cold and I told them to layer up and keep their bedroom doors closed. Got a couple of 'throw' bargains on internet so we should be snuggly in the evening.
