mine hasn't been on in a few days now but before that it was on for about 4 hrs in one day cause we were ill and needed comfort when we were sick
btw my dryer won't turn on with only 1 item in it it has to be a certain weight before it will work, we didn't figure this out til i asked hubby to put the kids uniform in the dryer and he only put in there 2 wee uniforms so they were wet the next day as it comes on then goes off again, it's an eco dryer so i assume it's to save energyDEC GC £463.67/£450

I wish I knew the point where towels etc. would still dry quickly enough before becoming that old damp smelling!!!!!!!!! (without the need for heat)0 -
saw on the news that 27000 people die each winter because of the cold. That is a shocking number. For those of us extreme moneysaving or with insufficient heating systems we really must all take very good care of ourselves and be prudent.
I have a tumble dryer for the first time now....last winter in the extreme weeks I just didn't do washing and as a result had a huge mountain that it was a nightmare to get through after the extreme weather broke, because the weather wasn't helping. I bought a cheap tumble dryer and decided for my planned usasage spending more for lower running cost wasn't merirted because it really will be an occasional use appliance...most things I can get dry under the veranda on a rack in most weather.0 -
I've just put mine on to air the bedding I washed this morning.
I'll knock it off in 30mins though.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Still off here, though I've at least connected the next LPG canister - so when I run out I only have to run outside (no doubt semi-nekkid and covered in shampoo!!) and flip the valve. Neary 3 months use out of this canister, nearly had a heart attack when someone said a fortneight would be good going with heating on...
But yes the tumble drier is in use."She who asks is a fool once. She who never asks is a fool forever"
