Well ours is still off, its very mild and only 10 degrees overnight so a bit of a bonus there, its 18 inside too.
Its raining heavily right now and i have lots of washing to dry, i can`t hang it on the airer as usual as that normally goes in the room which has been plastered so we`re a bit upside down atm, i might put it on for an hour later but don`t really want to.
If the rain has a break later then i shall hang the washing out but i`m not holdimg my breath.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
It may be worth getting a small heater now before the cold weather,
I shall light the candles later and put the dehumidifier on upstairs, that machine has really paid for itself several times over, if it broke i would definitely get another one.

I know what you mean about the dehumidifier, they're wonderful.
Actually mine did break just this week and I'm at present waiting for the courier to bring my new one this morning.
I just can't do without mine now, especially when I have laundry.
I'm so used to putting the laundry on the clothes dryer over night with the dehumidifier on and coming down to a lovely warm room, dry laundry and no condensation.
I panicked when my dehumidifier refused to work the other day and I did'nt hesitate to buy a new one.
I realy do think it is a necessity in this household, and so cheap to run.
Also heaters,we bought a small electric heater for when we just wanted a burst of heat, such as just before bed, when its chilly but the heatings turned itself off.
We found this saved us a fortune using it instead of just turning the heating on for a while, and lets face it by the time the central heating's warmed itself up you probably don't need it anymore.
As for heating,we don't need any at the moment.
Its raining but realy mild, just hoping its going to stay like this.
Would be lovely if we could have a November as warm as October.

Still no heating on yet :j was 18 degrees last night inside. No need for it on in the mornings either. Got one load of washing dried on the line yesterday, was a bit breezy but started raining a bit at 3pm so brought in and large, slightly damp stuff put over bannister, smalls in the airing cupboard.
Managed to put rubber draught excluder around front and back doors yesterday, so hopefully no gale force thought there.GC - Oct £36.17/£31

My oil-fired central heating has not been on since last March when it ran out of oil.
I started use one bar of the halogen electric heater which I think is 400 watts about one month ago when the temperature dropped below 15 degrees C. It is not on everyday. It is cheaper than turning on the oil-fired central heating.0 -
It's really warm here in the north east - weirdly so. Last night I was too warm in bed and swear could feel the house heating up.
Needless to say no heating on. Woodburner's occasionally been on to warm the conservatory which is old as hills and freezing on night.Debt - CCV £3792

Poured with rain all afternoon but no heat on,brought our new dog home. We have adopted her from the dogs home, she's a old lady so will have to make sure we keep her warm ,that will now be three dogs to cuddle up to now ,better than a hot water bottle.0
