Mine has to stay off till i sell my fish tank. I've bought a new one but the only place for the old one and stand is in front of the window and the only radiator.0

Oil boiler is off, but using the wood burner to heat radiators and water - dehumidifier to dry washing on wet days.0

Off in my flat at 18C but I do live over a cafe/food place which is open till late so I don't feel the need to use the heating yet. I have resorted to trackie bottoms instead of shorts a fortnight ago and now wearing a sweatshirt at times, typing this in a tshirt.0

:rotfl: I do know what you mean though, i`ve had to stop myself buying things that i read about a few times, i`ve got quite good at it really.
In the last 4 years i`ve only bought one thing that i`ve not used enough to justify the spend and once i`ve sorted a few things out it will be used more often especially as it will save us money.
I have had a couple of impulse buys but i`m confident that they won`t be a waste of time, one is the yaktrax and the other is a budget sewing machine that i bought yesterday. I`m planning on teaching myself to sew some much needed but simple things with it
I have quite a good example not to follow - namely my Mum who has every gadget going and never uses most of them.
I can`t really imagine being without the dehumidifier though:D
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Ours is still off, but running the wood burner for a few hours each evening. Today it was raining hard part of the morning but then the sun came out and blimey, it was so warm. Someone said 17 degrees.0

'Tis OK I'm keeping warm, nicely assisted by smiling at those who aren't using the heating because they've lit the woodburner, coalfire, logburner, halogen heaters, electric fire, gasfire etc etc When will people realise that anything that produces heat is heating? Why make others feel inferior? If you're using anything that produces heat you are using heating. Just because it's not central heating doesn't negate that, else my grandmother could claim never to have used heating in her entire life :rotfl::rotfl: At the moment it's mild enough in my area not to need any artificial heat source, but I fully expect to flick my gas fire HEATING on any day now0

I think the difference is that the fuel for my woodburner is totally free and thats why it is OSWomen who suffer from Domestic Violence are not victims.... They are survivors....
