It was on......until I got fed up of OH's kids leaving the lounge door wide open, so I told them if they didn't appreciate the heating I was going to turn it off :-D
  • Ours is on. Gave in last night after sitting in jeans and two jumpers under two fleeces on the sofa and still feeling cold. Have been at home all day and have managed with it off until after tea so quite pleased with that. I just wish I didnt feel the cold so much.

No Heating is on. No Radiators on. I have moved my large Radiator to besides my Sofa Bed ready to put on a a critical moment.
Small Radiator has new home besides bed with inches to spare in it's new position. Still not on.
However my Lakeland Dry Soon 3 Tier Dryer is apparently making the Living room aka TV and net room bar Bedroom and Laptop arrangement, nice and cosy!!
Oven provides heat when I am cooking as I am forced to do daily as the pesky thing trips out so oven cooking for me.
Hope everyone is keeping nice healthy and cosy and happy despite of what the powers of be are doing to us/'trying to do to us she says hopefully.x:beer::money:

  • I have my negligee nightie on so flimsy with short dressing gown bare legs and am fine! When the winter really comes on I layer up preferably with silk and cashmere which doeth what my flat doth not do, in as stylish practical way as I know how, have hot food and if really bad, retire to sanctuary of bedroom with laptop to conduct most of daily business from under the duvet covers, unless I have to be in Living Room that is.
Bedroom is sanctuary also from distressing mental illness around here too so indulgence and self care is order of the day.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Dogs washed as planned so both woodburner (room next door to the room they sleep in) and electric heater on in their room to make sure no one goes to bed cold and with bits that haven't been dried properly. Its been a mild day though.

Dog coats laundered and ready to commence winter wearing. :)

    Ours is ON

We`ve had a big leak upstairs underneath the floorboards and the ceiling downstairs was filling up with water

Its run along the joists and even come through in one place and down the living room wall:eek:

So i need to dry everything out ASAP, the dehumidifier is working overtime, the floorboards are up in one room upstairs and the heating is on.

My ceiling has patches in some places now :(

We have lots of condensation atm lol. Its going to have to stay turned on for a while now i think but at least we`re not flooded out!

*wonders what else is going to happen* we seem to have had a run of bad luck lately and i`m really hoping that this is the end of it! Cross your fingers for us peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Sunnyday, I hope it's not too long before everything is dry again and that your insurance don't mess you about either if you do put a claim in.
  • Aww Sunndyday...hope you're drying out ok.

Our heating's still off, we've been lucky with the weather so far and most of the washing has dried outside. My central heating has been off since late spring:j

Normally this time of year my heating would definately be on, but the weather is far too mild to have it on..................Just seen the week a head weather on " Countryfile" and it will be 15 plus 16 during the day.. and night time temps are not falling too much either.........:)
I remember last October it was very cold and frosty right from the start of the month............
