Well, I've had a major telling off from the plumber for only running the bathroom radiator as with a combi boiler and old pipes we're in danger of causing lots of leaks in the pipework by running it this way. Have opened up 3 radiators and put the heating on for a couple of hours in an evening just so the bathroom is warm and been running it like this for the past few days. Thermostat is only set at 15 but the house does feel much better for it. It was warmer outside than in when I went to put the chickens to bed before!

Long term we're going to look at getting a towel rail for the bathroom that will run off either the CH or electric but that's going to have to wait due to the cost:(

  • Oh goodness its cold here tonight! We have been away all week and the house seems to be really chilly. I put the heating on when we got home at 3pm but switched it off after an hour and lit the fire instead.

OH and the kids are out at the moment. I think I am going to be under pressure to put the heating on when they get in! Its really not very warm.
  • CH off but fire lit tonight - wet, grey and cold here all day today.

No one has mentioned that they are cold so it is staying off. I have lit my wax tart and there is a lovely vanilla aroma. It stayed cold here today the washing didn't dry much on the line despite the sun. It has given rain tomorrow so will be finishing the drying indoors.

    Keep warm.

Sat in 2 tops, fleece, tights, jeans, socks, fingerless gloves... think I could do with a flaccey blanket too but the bloke is looking at me like I am weird again feeling the cold :/ definitely dropped massively in temp today, by about 7 degrees according to met office webby. Not got the storage heating on and not got the halogen heater on either.

  • Had my heating on for a couple of hours this evening and an hour this morning. I think I'm doing better than last year, although daughter moaned that she was a wee bit chilly tonight! Son doesn't appear to fee the cold, but then he is a teenage lad!

Still off here but its quite nippy, 4 degrees outside and 16 in.

I`m hoping for some sun to warm up the living room through the windows later.

Day off today and i have many errands to run but atm i`m taking full; advantage of the cheap electricity :D

Just put mine on for an hour this morning, but it is silly o clock, my house rabbit woke me up banging on his indoor cage to let him out, he is currently skating on the laminate! and what a noise he is making, coupled with the two cats chasing each other, my OH will not be impressed if they wake him at this time on a Saturday.
