Is your heating ON or OFF?

Still off. I did put it on in the bathroom on low for a couple of hours last week, but I've turned it back off again. We'll be visiting my parents soon, so with that gap in mind I'm aiming for at least Nov. 7. After that, I think I'll just go until its consistently below 6C at night. I work from home and tbh it hasn't been that bad, although I remember really freezing last year, so I may cave! I'm from a really warm climate so I think I'm doing rather well, the first year I lived here I had heating on throughout the "summer". I'm really glad I'm fit and able, and I can't sympathise enough with those who have reasons why they must make compromises to have the heating on.0

i have had mine on today for an hour, DS and OH were complaining about the cold so gave in and put it on
It is now raining and looks miserable, will be buying my candles at the the weekend as think that looking at the flame makes you feel cosy, will still put the heating on if it stays cold tho
I know we are lucky as can afford to have the heating on, I feel sorry for those who cant afford to heat their homes it is ridiculous that some people have to choose between heat and eat0 -
Quite mild today so it's off. I even have the windows open and fresh air drifting in, and a fleecy jacket sorts it all out.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

on the North East coast its still quite warm, never had my heating off so late in the year as I'm a 'cold' person hoever really havent felt that bad since I started wearing PJs in bed and extra layers in the house(not even always necessary). I think it perhaps feels better this year as we have new french doors in the LR whereas last years horrible wooden ones were damaged and really draughty. I have electric storage heaters until landlord puts central heating in in January so trying to hold off where possible as the electric gets eaten up by the heaters.
Why does everyone burn candles??0 -
Don't know what the neighbours are doing, but lived in my flat for 5 years and have never needed to turn the heating on.For myself I am an optimist - there does not seem to be much use being anything else.

It's off but damp and chilly. I have to pop out later to collect DS from rugby training, hoping to get a warm bath and early night when I get home to save putting the heating on.
Well done to those feeling comfortable enough to hold out.

Candles - becasue if you light enough of them they do give off a bit of heat, plus the gentle glow tricks you into thinking it's warmer lolTrying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!
