  • No heating on yet but some of the windows have been closed for the first time since about March. I've still got the 4.5 tog duvet on the bed and the thermals aren't going on for as long as I can hold out. Mind you, it's a balmy 15 degrees in here, so it's not cold at all.

I've got the patio doors open. If i close the door the lounge is roasting, i think i managed to pick up sunbed bulbs instead of light bulbs.

It's been really beautiful here today, lots of sun and a nice if cool breeze. It has now clouded over and very grey and definately much cooler. Might need to put it on later.

Pleased to report heating not needed, felt a bit chilly but a warm bath and pyjamas sorted that. Feeling lovely and warm.

4.5 tog duvet? I've got a 15 tog feather duvet (bought a couple of years ago in the sales) and still wear fleecy jammies in bed. :o

I'm wavering. I'm cold, but its sch a short time till the weekend....I'm looking for excuses to light the darn thing now and I do think the air is a little damp..................its still abot 11 degrees oin the house so not too bad.

I'll see how I feel this afternoon I guess.

edit: woodburner on. My father turned up and got hysterics because I finally put the woodburner on because the cat made it clear she wanted it. He thinks its barking that I'll do for the cat what I won't do for us.

Anyway, I feel a bit annoyed but better for haing made the decision.

Lol its the same with us and the dogs :D

Just got in nice and early for a change and its 11 outside and 15 inside, the windows have condensation on them for a couple of inches upwards from the bottom and i`m not really sure why.

DH hung the washing up on the airer this morning and normally this would be the culprit but its not warm enough in that room to start to dry them. I think i`ll bung them in the dryer for 20 mins in the morning when i get up for work and the E7 in on as they are all really thick outdoor clothes that usually take some drying whatever the temperature.

Its dull and damp here as we`ve had quite a lot of rain, candles were lit last night and will be again tonight :D

Am currently wearing my wellie-booties indoors :rotfl:It's a great look, believe me, lol. Bring on November, I say. Then I'll put the heating on for just an hour in the morning and an hour at night, unless the sun comes out to play.

Other wellie booties and socks available from various outlets. Hope I'm not breaking any rules, just wanted to show what I'm wearing.

Still off here.Really dull wet day ,got loads of wet washing hanging around house.Decided to light the candles now rather than wait till tonight, the LR has started to warm up.Having a nightmare trying to switch tariffs a couple of the comparision websites wont reconise my useage, keeps saying recheck its to low:D,the ones that will take it come up with tariffs with standing charges. Not sure these will save me i worked out on one of them i would save £26 on gas but would have paid more on electric.Think i might stay as i am i try and use even less my head is in a spin.
