Ooh, believe me the reality is too. Even in the summer - it actually cools you down so you sleep without having to turn the pillow over and stick your leg out
Of course I'm lucky enough to have a concrete floor and free electric. And no cats. It would never work at home.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Not on tonight, just had a delicious bowl of apple and blackberry crumble (well not the crumble bit - I'm on a diet so just had fruit) it was really warming. DH and the boys had it with custard so they have nice warm tummies now.

well, I resisted today, and the temptation was hard. I have an enforced day of rest tomorrow, out in the morning, but home in the afternoon might be harder......I might have a long nap in a warm bed.
eta: just checked themometre in kitchen and its 12. IMO that shows how much frame of mind/activity can change how a temperature feels.....last week I was not warm but ok when the kitchen was 8 or nine at its lowest reading0 -
I am trying to make it to next tues before it goes on. We have had the coal fire on at the weekend, lovely and cosy. It is cold tonight but am heading up to cosy bed wit a fleecy blanketSealed pot challenge member no 1057

We had ours on for a couple of days, but it's been back off for a few days now. Hopefully we can last until November before it goes on permanently.0

OMG!! I would be calling mountain rescue or the sally army or something if it got that cold for me, I'm a devout wuss.0 -
Well I couldn't understand how my place was heating up to the extent I had to open a window and it's only 5 deg outside tonight. Turns out my new neighbour below me is a doctor from Burma and he can't stand the cold, so he's got the gas central heating up high and it's rising. At this rate I may never have to put much heating on :-)0
