I've discovered that if i close both the doors in the lounge and put 3 bulbs in (4 bulb halogen light), it's too warm in my lounge.. So i might be able to make it to March with no heating.

Thermostat is set to put the heating on when the temperature goes below 19c but its reading 21c so obviously no heating on here. Its been a lovely day and we have had doors open most of the time. I am sitting here in a tee shirt and its comfortable. Only time the boiler has fired up so far has been a couple on mornings at 6.30am. It hasn't stayed on for long but long enough to get the towel rail nice and warm.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.

Heating has been on this evening as two out of three sons not well and both complaining of being cold, i know it sounds stupid but i always like a window open when they are ill cos i was brought up to believe that fresh air was the best medicine when you are ill.I have been sweating tonight so after two hours it was switched off, boys both tucked up in bed and fast asleep and i'm cooling down nicely.xx
:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.00
  • OFF! Made a stew and had friends round so we actually had to open a window because it was warm. Not bad for a basement flat. Bedrooms freezing though. Got my goose down duvet and hot water bottle though.

Well, we put the heating on for Saturday night and Sunday morning on the timer, as DD & DGDs came to visit, but its off again now - tbh it's not particularly cold, & most of the radiators didn't come on anyway.

  • It's realy good here on the north east coast.
Got up at 6am and left the kitchen door wide open, loveley warm breeze blowing through the house.

Surprisingly warm in Preston as well. It confused the crap out of me when i woke up and it was warm; I thought I'd hibernated and it was April.
