Off - still its a tad chilly though but am just layering up again, haven't got my hat on or my blanket/throw round me yet! Need some fingerless gloves for when am typing though.
Tip I read in a magazine this week - rub a cut onion over your car windscreen and it should help prevent frost. Anyone want to give it a go and report back lolTrying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

Mine's on.
I'm going soft - it's relatively mild out but inside it was 15C and it felt cold to me. Last year I waited till it was about 12C inside, was obviously made of tougher stuff then! I am turning it on and off as needed to feel comfy, not leaving it on all the time or on a timer yet.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Mine's still off... though am sorely tempted to put it on.... I just need to put some socks on (under my slippers) and get moving with the house workMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

We were out all day yesterday and came home just after 4 to find to heating had come on at 4, which was nice to come into cosy house, but I need to remember to change it when we're out! Didn't even have washing in to benefit from the heat, as it was so sunny I got it all on the line. I've put fleeces over the back of the sofa, so we snuggled up under those to watch Merlin. Boys are getting good at wrapping up when sitting still.0

It's on and has been for a few days. I am needing it on to dry some washing too - not ideal but at least two uses out of the radiator.0

Well ours was on for a few days, but I switched it off yesterday. I'm going to take each day as it comes, but I refuse to freeze - I think if our house was only 12c I'd have the heating on because I wouldn't be able to do anything other than hide under my duvet.
Funnily enough I have been wondering what other people think of as cold. My thermostat has been reading 12c for several days (although 15c at the moment as the weather is a bit better) and I'm still resisting putting central heating on although I do put the gas fire on when I'm watching TV in the evening so at least 1 room is warm. I'm hoping to hold out till November at least.
Question - why does 12c at night feel colder than 12c during the day?I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

not on today, living room thermostat is reading 18 though it is sunny0
