Still off apart from 10 mins 3 nights ago to test the system, thank goodness it is working fine (it is a very old system)
Had to scrape ice of the car Wednesday morning !!! I also have an underactive thyroid so really really feel the cold, but I cannot bring myself to turn the heating on, fleeces to the ready, fleece dressing gown and bed early if too cold.
It is a beautiful day here in Epsom today so that lifts the spririts anyway doesn't it.
I had orignally said no heating until November but........... I may try to last a bit longer than that, (bloomin gas company will get enough of my hard earned money anyway)
Have a great *warm* day everybody

Off.
It is sunny here and I have been able to get three loads of washing dried no problem. It also means I can use some of the heat form the conservatory to use through the house. I am hoping I can keep it off until probably Monday!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

I'm another one who's been saying "It's not coming on until 1st November"......finding this thread is strengthening my resolve - maybe SECOND week in November?
We'll see! At least I live by myself, so it's just my decision, no-one else here to sabotage plans. Jumpers and fleeces are all lined up!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
Only on for an hour yesterday and has been off all day today - although the wind is cold, inside the house is quite warm so far. Fingers crossed that it will stay that way xJanuary grocery spending - £82.73/ £1200
