Our heating is still off, but I did get our fleece blanket out on Tuesday, and we are snuggled under it at the moment. Also we've started wearing jumpers and coats in the past few days, might get my thick fluffy dressing gown out of the airing cupboard tomorrow, as it is freezing first thing in the morning.

Well ours was on for a few days, but I switched it off yesterday. I'm going to take each day as it comes, but I refuse to freeze - I think if our house was only 12c I'd have the heating on because I wouldn't be able to do anything other than hide under my duvet.

Ours had been on for the last couple of days. But it's only on for an hour in the morning and an hour at night. Seems to e work g s far but the again we've had no frosts or anything so whilst it's been chillier it's not freezing.

Still not had the central heating on yet, but have lit the woodburner the past three or four evenings!

  • Went outside to open up the bunny hutch and it's pretty mild today so have taken a stand and turned our heating back OFF:p Will no doubt be met by resistance from hubby and kids who have enjoyed the past 3 toasty days but am standing firm!If it's warm enough for the nutty kidlets to be outside on a trampoline at 9am in tshirts the heating stays OFF!!:rotfl:

  • Still not had heating on....tried it for 10 minutes the other day to see that it worked ok. Lowest temperature inside has been 16 degrees, so just wrapped up in fleece on settee. Need to do something about the draught from the side of the front door. It's a modern plastic d/glazed thing but there's a gap down the side, don't know what will plug it...apart from stuffing bubble wrap in it. I have some foam draught excluder but not sure how that's going to work yet.

Our heating is back off again lol. Its lovely and warm today here and the sun shining on the living room makes it soooo warm (I have just hoovered so had to open the window!).

DH and the kiddies not moaning about the cold/heat although it must have been nice and warm with the heating on at 6am today as DD1 was walking around semi-naked!!! Going to keep the heating off again tonight and not have it come on in the morning to see how much colder it feels.

We have this problem. Our gap is on the side that opens and we were told yesterday by the repair man that putting a bolt on the bottom part of the door (where the gap is) should hold the door in place better. If this doesnt work then I will tape a blanket to the door like I did last year lol.
