The heating was on for 2 hours last night but off again all day today. I've just put it on for an hour to take the chill off the house and hopefully that will be enough tonight.

Still off here :) lots of layers, warm drinks and fleece's on beds are helping.

Will pop to town tomorrow for last winter bits and will pop a cover on spare duvet for us to snuggle under (me and the 3 boys love doing this whilst watching a dvd/tv )

im sure i gave in earlier last year so feeling really pleased weve managed to hold off

  • Still off here but hallway down to 13dg - and I'm feeling the difference!
I've decided that the tumble drier is a necessary evil though - I'd rather spend money on that than have to put on the heating and merely waft damp air around the place.

I still haven't put my heating on. I keep all the doors closed. I dry clothes outside and leave them on the clothes airer to air inside. Worse time seems to be around 11 am so I try and do something energetic around the house, tomorrow I will change the sheets on the beds to keep me warm.

  • Off all day today:D (thank goodness) - I was really worried that since it was on the other night, I'd never get it off again.....

It's been about 10 deg warmer outside today, I'll never understand weather as I just don't "get" how it can change so much in one day.

It's still off here at the moment, but will probably go on tomorrow as DD & DGDs are coming to visit.

I was reading a weather forum last year trying to figure out how much longer the snow was going to last. My word, they were talking a whole other language.

It was azores and depressions, blocking, arctic lows and jet stream, la nina and all sorts of stuff I am clueless about.

I decided the best way to figure out the weather was to put my head out the door and go ' yes it's raining' or whatever.:rotfl:
